CP situation in Republic of Ireland

Hi all,
Does anyone has insight of close protection situation in Republic of Ireland? I've searched all net and there isn't much information. As far as i know it does exist,but almost all the tasks are carried out by Garda (Irish police). Does anybody know how it looks from inside? Does any private security companies have any involvement in CP?

A few. But there’s not much. And the pay is shit....
And there’s no CP license either. Mostly done badly by untrained operators, I’d stay away....

Is it the large security companies that get contracts or more like private teams of individuals ?

The big player security companies require SIA license in Ireland,which does not make a lot of sense.

More info would be much appreciated.

I was going to suggest you contacted TMAC but that's already done. He will steer you right, he's a good operator both in Ireland and the UK, his advice will be worth listening to. He has helped me personally and has helped a lot of others on here.
