Alright guys,

Ex 2 PARA, looking for my first move into CP, all ready to go. Do you know of any contacts worth getting in touch with in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Left end of 2004 but been doing surveillience on and off for a while, have a keen preference on furthering my Medical skills.

Currently learning Arabic.

Any pointers would be much appreciated

Cheers

Hi Jedi13,

Welcome to the forum.

Have a read of the older threads it will give you some pointers, also have you done a HE/PSD course, if not something that you will need to consider.

All the best.

hi guys, i'm due to leave in July 10 and looking at going into the CP world. any advice or ideas on what the best course to do after 22yrs in..!!!

cheers

Hi mate ex-2Para myself. If you are interested in the medic stuff get that squared away first. Look at going on something high up like a degree in paramedicine, nursing or even a doctor if you are cleaver enough. The wary stuff can wait and the money can wait also. The future is in being skilled, that way you can say yes or no to the contractors. Don't know if you have a family or not but think long term. I am not a rich man but I have been around and only now at 45 is what I have done paying dividends. Being a registered medic means you have the oil and gas, security, NGO's, the UN to look at.
