Just a review of some of apps

IResus
UK resuscitation council algorithms, I have asked for an up-date with a metronome 100 audible beat per minute.
Recent up-date of including anaphylactic algorithm
(App already mentioned on the forum)

Anesoft ECG Rhythm
Nice little app for rhythm identification practice (Good practice for recognising rhythm strips)

QxMD ECG Guide
Text based 12 lead ECG book, with 12 lead examples (Serious, but boring)

Out Doors by Road Tours
OS maps for various geographical areas in the UK, works fine. Includes exact location, does not include 6 figure grid.

Grid Point GB
Simple immediate 8 figure grid reference of your location (Does what it says on the can)

British Military Fitness
Great fun, how much will I use it?

I’ve looked at some “Emergency Apps†nearest Hospital, petrol station ect, found them to be crap.
One was English based, and as I operate in Scotland told me my nearest A/E was in Berwick.

If you find an interesting operational or medical app please post

Thanks

Memory Maps free is good. You get about 400sqkm (1:25k) for free but have to buy more if needed.

I've heard that viewranger are bring out an app soon with free 1:25k mapping for free.

Have a look here apptrackr home
Have a look under the Medical tap..

Here you get to test all of the apps for free.. If you find anything that serves your requirement, let us know. And think about supporting the developer, if you enjoy his work.

I'm not sure of STOOL SCANNER

What type of stool will you pass next? What about your friends, family or co-workers? Stool Scanner will collect a stool sample from your finger and predict your next stool!

There seem to be some really good iPad apps....I ll have a look what's out on the American app store and report back......

THEODOLITE - Works best with the 3Gs. Using your camera it overlays a reticle telling you the angle, bearing(3Gs only), grid reference and other info to a given object in your sight picture. When you take a phot with this app, all that info is imprinted on the photo. This would be of good use to surveillance specialists, or for people working up a target pack.

Try Medscape - under the reference tab it has tabs for drugs, conditions, procedures, drug interactions amongst others.... quite a handy app all round
