I am looking at doing an advanced driving course in April after i have completed my CP course in December and I am only 22 years old is this going to cause me hassle? Any help would be appreciated

I dont think so.

What are your plans after doing the course, what to you expect to get out of it?

My advise would be to do a ROSPA or IAM programme followed by a skid pan training session at your local race school.

Any skills after that would be down to knowledge of the area you are driving, London / Knightsbridge etc

Can you drive, do you hold a driving license, do you drive on a regular basis ?
If your answer is yes, well you are already more prepared to do CP than a lot of new operators out there.
An advanced driving course is best taken early on, it's pretty hard to break bad habits that have been practised for say 10 or 20 years in some cases.
22 seems just fine to me, aand get regular updates or advancement on skills.
Nip out now and buy RoadCraft, make sure it has the CD with it.
Go on you tube and find the RoSPA/IAM Roadcraft videos, and get some good practise in now.
Even contact your local IAM or RoSPA group, the trainings free and from people with enthusiasm and knowledge.
It's a great foundation block to build skills from.
Also some Police forces run 'Skid Pan days' unsure if it still happens with budgetry constraints.

OJ not sure about the Plod skid pan training, but morst race schools / tracks run courses, Castle Combe near here do courses through Drive-tech which are very good; I did one recently about £90 for a 1/2 day and they tailored some of the course to the CP environ, the DS were exmin and explod.

Worth a look.

Chris I'm sure there is something similar at Biggin Hill.
