RE: Medipro Training UK, Offshore Medic Course

Hi All,

I hope all you out there is well and happy.

First post in here, first post as well on what has been pestering me for some time. Any advise will be highly appreciated RE Offshore Medic done by Medipro, as im in the process of finalizing which is which amongst the providers including NUH to spend my hard earned expat cash.

What's your back ground buddy there are many offshore courses and it depends alot on what you want to get out of it I seen they where doing to course but refused to give details of placements and you have to get most things signed off before you start so begs the question what are they teaching let me no how you get on
 
Go to NUH. Offshore Medics that go there to re-qualify all say that NUH is way ahead when compared to other providors. It may be a bit more expensive, but it's money well spent.
 
It's seems the NUH is the best as far reputation goes especially for re-certifying. The whole offshore medic course and re-certification is an outdated concept especially with clinical governance. However, companies and people still pay so someone will provide it. Offshore "medic" probably pioneered civvie nurse / paramedic practitioner but has moved on little since the 70's.
All I can say anout Medipro is they have cancelled my course two weeks before it was due to start and has now given me a headache to fit in another course.
