Security Driver Training.

Seeing the myriad of training providers for every aspect of CP, some good and a lot bad, I hope that it will be helpful to provide feedback on a recent course. I did a lot of research and chose Security Chauffeur College as my driver training provider and am very pleased with the outcome. I am not going to say things like "this is the best training company" etc as it is the only driver course that I have been on. It is always helpful when other people give good honest feedback on courses, positive and negative, as correct choice of TP is vital to ones success or failure in all areas. Here is a copy of my review that I have posted elsewhere:

"This is an exceptionally well thought out and well organized course, geared to the requirements of training professional CP drivers and flexible enough to identify the strengths and weaknesses of an individual and train accordingly. SCC provides top quality instructors at all stages, all of whom have recent operational experience in their respective fields of expertise.

On phase one (ROSPA) I was fortunate enough to be trained by a class-1 police driver and instructor who not only got me to gold standard but fundamentally changed (for the better) most of my driving habits that I had used for about 30 years.

For phase two – security driving I was fortunate to have Jon who has several years CP driving and other experience in hostile environments and has first hand knowledge of ambushes. The techniques and drills on the airfield were excellent and showed that if all else fails good old British grit and aggression can still be used and one can “ram some sense into themâ€. Progression was then made to route planning and convoy drills. The route planning exercise was a revelation in itself and the techniques learned add significantly to the security of the client and to the professionalism of the driver. I was still learning on the final exercise which is how it should be.

The course was hard work, very well thought out and progressive. Anyone thinking that they can do a couple of fun days spinning vehicles and then can be a good CP driver would probably be quite a dangerous choice of employee – this is two weeks of solid, intensive, top quality training. Training for Safety and Security.

I find it significant that at any stage before, during and after the course you can ask Jon questions and get a rapid, honest and very well informed response.

I chose SCC after much research and am delighted with the result. I would recommend this course, without hesitation, to anyone wishing to be a safe, security minded and well above average CP driver."

Not being funny or negative towards SCC as all I've heard is positive.

But you have 2 posts on this forum, both exactly the same, smells of desperate marketing.

A decent course will always sell itself.

Fair comment ENJ1986 but not desperate marketing. I did the course but apart from sharing mutual connections with Jon I am not in any way involved with SCC and it doesn't help me in any way to market them. The fact is that I received excellent training and wanted to put something back. Believe me, if I experienced a bad course anywhere I would most certainly say so.

Sorry about putting it twice but as I said, the part in quotation marks was as I had written elsewhere. Cut and past makes things too easy. I shall try to remove the duplication if possible.

Apologies to SCC if I have accidentally made you look bad, didn't mean to.

ENJ1986, well spotted, my mistake.

Thank you Firetheif - who ever you are, if you want to text me your real name, I would be most grateful.

ENJ1986,

Thank you for reading both posts, gives me confidence that people actually read stuff on this site.

I personally prefer the Facebook Group, as then you can see who people really are.

Having delivered the only internationally accredited security driving course in the world, since November 2010, with no adverse comments on ANY forum, facebook, twitter, instagram or other public forum or location, I am happy with how The Security Chauffeur College is delivering its courses.

I personally don't know a former candidate who isn't working.

We have delivered 11 courses so far this year, and our 12th course is by special request in August, prior to flying to Madrid in September to deliver a course there to 4 security chauffeurs.

Not all training is the same.

Thank you for your comments, which has given me the opportunity to respond.

Kindest Regards

Jon
