I live in rural Georgia, and have done since 1989. I do not know anyone who does not own firearms. I do not know anyone who does not have a handgun in their car or rifle in their truck....

I've been hunting in the Vidalia area since 1992. God's country. People are salt of the earth.
When you go back what are doing with the remaining guns you don't bring with you? There's no shortage of buyers in that neck of the woods.

I thought all in the group knew who I was/am. My name is David Shenton, and I was the Hon Sec of the International Long Range Pistol Shooters Association and at that time lived in Cardiff. In 1989 I came to the US to install a anti-hijacking video system (that had an up and down Sat link) on a Gulfstream G-IV for 'Dodi's wanker father. Months of delays, made a few calls, talked into staying here, and been here ever since. More info here if you have any interest in me and what I have done since being here. I certainly didn't come here for the shooting or easy access to firearms, I came here as the covert surveillance equipment made here and used by the Fed's at that time was a joke, even though the Agencies thought it was the best in the World. WRONG!!! Now I am going home, and will be continuing my business there.

I have a corner 'lot' of 20 acres, mainly pine trees with no neighbours that is now up for sale, so somewhere to hunt and shoot is not a problem. I teach close quarter handgun use in the middle of it.
On the question of the firearms, the 2 Wingmasters I bought in Walmart are already gone, the other long guns are being bought by a neighbour, the Arggie Browning is going to the IWM, the RMM didn't want it as there was no provenance with it. The Winchester bolt action .22 (with no serial number) is going to a neighbours kid for his 11th birthday. The handguns are for sale...

Wow. You had your own little slice of paradise! All the good guns are gone now I see. I have plenty of handguns. Nice of you to gift the little vintage Winchester .22! This is how most youngsters in the states are introduced to firearms. It's an American tradition. Thank you for your kindness. Hopefully you won't be seen by your future countrymen as a person that has created a killer in the US! :)

We don't 'HAVE' to leave, as we have E21 and E27 Permanent Resident status. Mine used to be E11, then E21 and then the INS computer decided that I must have retired and changed it to E27. However, I am in my office or workshop everyday, including today. Sunday
In 1992 my wife became oldly ill, and as we had excellent medical health insurance, she was sent the rounds of so called "Specialist" and all said it was something different. This went on for almost a year. Then she went to visit her sister "up a valley' in Wales. Sister said that she should visit her local GP. Sat with GP for 10 minutes and without any examination, GP asked, "How long have you known you had Linear Scleroderma?" To which she replied "What's that?" Blood test confirmed it.
On returning to Georgia, told "Specialist" who said "No, wrong." Had specific test done, and then told by insurance company that our medical coverage was cancelled as we had lied on the application. Not just hers, but mine and our daughters were no more.
Ever tried getting medical insurance after having had yours cancelled because you had "lied" on the application form?
Since that time, my accountant says we have paid over $400,000 to the medical crooks over here. That does not include any of the trips to the UK to go privately over there.
I suppose we are lucky in owning our own home, the 20 acres of trees, and not having any mortgage, or bank loans. However, our only 'child' (she's 43!) was living and working in Austin Texas. She's married to an Australian, and is now also Australian. Her being there was Okay, as my wife could fly to TX in 3 hours. Then 6 months ago, the INS decided not to renew their work permits. This made no sense, as their main customer is the US Military. I have close long time friends in the State Department. State oversee INS. Got him to talk to Dickhead in Dallas, but he would not change his decision. I won't put his reasoning here.
So, 3 months ago, the office was closed down, and they moved back to OZ. This meant that 5 Americans were unemployed, and some special electronics that the US Army use, is no longer available, nor is any backup that may be required by the Military.
So, the first thoughts were; "We'll move to OZ" Looked at comparative property and other costs, and decided against it. Plus I dislike the accent where they live, and the reason my daughter met her husband was that he was the marketing director of a company that screwed me out of around 35K 1999 US Dollars! (He's not on my Christmas Card list)
So, as the market in the US for new innovative covert surveillance products is crap, and I have a couple of new products that need to be put into production, we (my wife) has decided that we should move back to the UK, and live near her family in "Welsh Wales" so that's what we are doing.
The 20 acres is for sale, the house on 3 acres is for sale, my F150 is going with the house, and the ex-police Mercury is being given to whoever drives us to the airport. The rest of the stuff will be in a container shipped up some valley north of Swansea.
There are a couple of people on CPW who know all of this and much more. One of them wanted me to, because of a video camera thread. I am very lucky to have been in places at the right time, and met the right people. Here I was a novelty, as I called a spade a spade, and in the early days used to laugh at stuff people talked about or claimed was invented here. I try not to, but still do. My current project, is another version of my original 2004 colour night vision that does not use any for of light intensifier. This project is mainly complete, as I am doing it all myself, and NOT getting involved with crooks from the 'City' like I did back then. Only the housing needs to be finished. Sorry about the length of this, but you did ask. And that's the Readers Digest version!

I wish I had the name of the dick head from from Dallas six months ago because I had a Brit here illegally that was trading illegally and flaunting it in the face of INS who wouldn't do shit about it. He's finally gone but he did it on his own terms and not being dragged, screaming to the airport by ICE. Seems like the good people get F***D and the dickheads get away with everything.

How true. I know about a Spaniard they should kick out of Florida too. He has an auto business over there and also sells American cars back in Spain, problem is he uses the distance and country differences very well, tampering mileage and selling cars which had some kind of accident as if they never had must be the least of what he does, nothing new for crooks in the car business, I know. Anyway, I heard about a Mustang he sold claiming it barely had 25,000mi, all the paperwork had been done accordingly. When the buyer finally got hold of the Carfax (he had to buy it himself through internet as the guy either showed him something which wasn't the Carfax or pretended to forget about it) it turned out the car actually had more than 62,000mi. Fortunately, after threatening him not just with Court but also with getting in touch with the US Embassy, he got all his money back.

Happens all the time my friend. It seems that if you stick to the rules, respect the law and deal fairly with people, you get fcuked. If you are an asshole, screw everyone you do business with. lie cheat and steal then you are regarded as a "businessman".

Howard and I do business on the level with everyone. What you see is what you get. We don't make promises we can't keep, we pay all our bills (mostly in advance), the company has no debt. We strive to under promise and over deliver. We would rather lose money than break principle. Yet, some people see this as weakness.

In January 2012 his visa status went illegal, he was told by USCIS to leave on 5 June, he ignored that and continued to do business illegally (no licenses, no insurance, no permits no nothing, not paying taxes etc etc). He bullshitted so many people, it beggars belief. The guy committed several Federal crimes. People you would expect to know better (including some police officers) were drinking the koolaid. Both Howard and I warned everyone the guy was illegal and was committing crimes. His response? Threaten me, threaten my family and threaten Howard. Not a smart move, as anyone that knows Howie and I will tell you :)

He left eventually when he realized the writing was on the wall. Good news is, he has a 10 year ban on re-entry to the US. Now the dickhead has setup shop in the UK. Brits get ready to be screwed by a conman.......

People who are straight up and law abiding, like Howard and I, so much as fart in the wrong place and the shit hits the fan. It makes me sick that these fcukers get away with it.

I agree, this kind of people always manage to live on. It doesn't matter they gave him a 10 year ban (you see, they actually banned him :D), he will keep doing what he does best somewhere else so no real loss for him. The same happens in this industry all the time, people cheating in their CVs, getting gigs they shouldn't even get close to, screwing everything and then leaving just to keep doing it somewhere else, people claiming a strong army background and then being no more than pen pushers in fatigues, people with no real medic quals and then getting a medic post just to leave the team down when the proverbial hits the fan, people getting hired after stealing gear in some other company, people claiming to be former SF and then forgetting their weapons in some vessel,... and so on so forth. To say nothing about those big managers, sorry, big mouths, asking you to join a great project, selling you big dreams about a wonderful contract which never happens or those TPs offering training with sure employment afterwards... yeah, right.

Sorry ,no dont know you(means nothing though)during that period my guy for that kit was Gerry H*** (G***)who supplied all the kit for Mrs Thatcher (vehicles) and cabinet as well as the kit at Maxwells place etc before his boating accident?I am sure you know him?As for this post i sympathise with your past and current problems and wish you all the best of luck in your future ventures whether in the UK or US.

  • Is it that Crockett is promoting safe handling and proper training?
  • Is it because the ad isn't politically correct?
  • Is it because he is exercising his right to deny who likes access to training?
  • Is it because he refuses to pander to the people who think muslims are fluffy bunnies and our friends? or;


Crockett Keller is a friend of ours and has a lot of support in this country for the stand he has taken and his refusal to train the "enemy" how to kill us more efficiently. At the end of the day, he can choose to deny anyone he wants, it is his right. At the moment, people still have rights here.
 
I'd go back to back with this guy any day. There are millions of people just like him in this country with the same attitude. A true American citizen and patriot. Just because he has a southern accent don't assume he's uneducated, ignorant, or some whack job. You can find guys just like him in New York, Chicago, DC and Kalifornia with a more acceptable accent but with the same message and convictions.
