VESTGUARD - Bouncer Spray

I'd not heard of this but it looks good! A foul smell and a UV dye that lasts for 3 days combo!

I've considered farb gel spray before which is a coloured dye that stains for 7 days.

Yes I have had experience with vestguards bouncer spray and highy recomend it! It is better to have it, then not have it, if you ever needed it, especially with there being alot of knives out there at the moment.

I've had experience with it and it is very good, not really suited for door work as it is effectively a UV emitting Skunk in a can, as long as you can guarantee that it will leave with the individual you can guarantee that he wont be bothering any venue for 3 days as the stench stays with the UV. Police stations are starting to install the UV black lights above their doors to locate smart smartwater and UV spray indicated individuals. Usually the look of it is enough to make people reassess the situation. If you spray it bag it and bin it as the can stinks afterwards.

Is it legal? If so, what is it classed as?

It is legal see below:
Section 5(1) (b) of the firearms act 1968 prohibits “any weapon of any description designed or adapted for the discharge of any noxious liquid, gas or other substance“. The Personal Defence Spray does not contain any substance deemed to be noxious in a court of law within the UK and the tin itself is not designed to discharge a noxious substance. It is NOT prohibited by this law and does not fall within the control of firearms legislation. This deems the spray legal.

It is classed as a personal defence spray and not an offensive weapon.

use redweb, better recognition by police. Redweb has been tried in court, bouncer hasn't.

Cant remember where i read it but there is a fantastic letter on the net from a legal person. Talked about all 3 forms, dyes, smells, and harmful. Dyes are legal, smells has not been tried in court so are 50/50 (i think they should be legal...great for getting people out of a toilet cubical) and harmful like OC and stuff which are illegal.

Ultimatly, redweb is the only one recognised by ACPO, you have to be trained and registered to use it. Plus its the most effective (in my opinion)

Vestguard spray has got me out of a few sticky situations and highly recomend it to anyone not just in the security industry but just for self protection.
