Wanted: spare covert cameras, etc

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy some spare equipment for use in training, recruitment and, in emergencies, as spares to current field equipment.

Does anyone have any equipment they're looking to offload? Looking for any law mate cameras, radios, etc.

Really, what are you looking for? The cameras I provide/sell are all low light color, work with NVS IR illumination and will video record THROUGH any and all so called "Black Glass" windows... (NVS=No visual signature) I have small, 10X zoom lens modules that are small enough to be held in a mans hand with 10 feet of 1/8th" diameter highly flexible (you can tie knots in it) 2 core screened lead attached. There is a 5 way tiny "Joystick" mounted on the 10X module for Zoom In/Out; Focus Near/Focus Far; Start Record/Stop Record. If module hand held, thumb rests on top of Joy Stick. Slightly larger systems have 27X or 36X module. PAL special order. Videoing though "Black Limo" glass needs to be explained... However, not now, time to go home...

Sounds like these would be more suited to frontline operations than for training, assessments etc.

I have a spare brand new Lawmate PV1000 touch 500GB DVR if this is of any interest, it was purchased from the UK Lawmate distributor and comes with its original receipt. I also have spare BU13LXU cameras again new to go with it, full details of these can be found on Lawmate websites, regards

We never trained with blanks, so never trained with any non front line electronics either. Maybe others buy kit on Amazon and Ebay, but I don't. Much more to be learned by making your own or modifying/improving others kit.
Start with what are you trying to achieve? Is it a common problem to solve? What's on line or available that is close to what you want or need to do? Can you modify something to do what you need? But before you modify anything, take pictures from all angles and print them off BEFORE you start undoing anything! One of the most important tools, is a magnet on a piece of thin string! You will probably drop something at night, and a magnet becomes your best friend followed by the images you took before you started to take it apart... Starting to ramble now...
All this is easy for me to say, as I have been modifying 'others' surveillance kit since the early 1980's and was designing other stuff long before that...
