I have no advice but am in a similar situation to yourself, i'm getting out the Forces soon and am firstly Networking for advice, and you have already made me think about what Cse/company to look at, ie what else do they provide, ie insurance is a very good facter because the work will be for my self and the family.

So thankyou Eddy i will be looking at Control Risks myself.

Training more fools, to go out in the real world with no experience, courses do not cut it, nor spending time in the forces, it takes time to train and be ready for a psd role not a few weeks training.

Cornish.. if neither courses nor spending time in the forces "cut it" then how does one train for psd?

The main players CRG included offer insurance as part of the work package and these can vary in the amount. CRG were providing £120,000 GBP cover for death. The other players have similar packages some to even higher limits £150,000 or £250,000 so I would not let this be too much of an influence. They do offer Top Up cover but there are several other avenues for this additional cover if a concern.

If you come to Hereford, for your course I may well get to meet you as I tend to speak to those on the Ronin Concepts courses just for a bit of guidance on insurance issues if moving into the sector.

Cornish obviously has a niche not sure how he got to where he is however he must be the modern James Bond who knows it all and can do it all!!! All a course can do is build hopefully on your foundations.

In terms of what course you should chose there are tons of TP all with different objectives and different types of training. Every person should chose one for their own reasons dependant on your own training and experience and what you want to learn and gain from a course.
