Mobius Action Cam (New version of the 808 keyfob originals)

What are the last 3 letters of the movie file that has been burnt onto DVD?

Edit.....Just looked at my version WMM and there is no burn to DVD function?

The files when I copy them accross are .wmv

When I play them on the computer they look fine, when I convert it to DVD via windows movie maker thats when produced footage becomes poor quality

I've just burned some footage from my Mobius Action Cam to a DVD via windows movie maker, but the quality of the footage is lost.

Is there a better way to burn to a DVD (so playable direct on a TV on and not necessarily on a computer)

VLC might help

Here's where I find the dvd option

Just looked it up and Windows 8 (which I am using) does not have the burn to DVD function.

I have just edited 2 jobs with Mobius footage and burnt them from WMV format using Power Director and they are great quality via DVD player and TV.

As Vis said above WMM is not that good.

I have only just noticed...There was a update for the Mobius released at the end of last year.

It is supposed to improve the picture quality and allows manual changes.

The motion detect has also been improved but I have not tried it yet.

One thing I have found on mine is that if you do not use the GUI on a regular basis, which sets the time from your computer, the time increases. Around 5 minutes in a month.

I use convert x to DVD software and lose no quality at all, trialled the möbius on a surveillance in Birmingham last week as an in car recorder and very impressed as used this way it's very covert whilst following as opposed to my camcorder with large suction pads . Only thing is mind your p's n q's as I see no way of omitting the audio from recordings. #16 key fob for foot and now my hd law mate equipment is pretty much redundant now as this stuff records as good if not better at a fraction of the price.

If you are using the GUI (whatever that means  ) to change the settings , go to "Global Recording Settings". Third down on the left "Audio Volume" ON or OFF.

I leave it on all the time, as it is great for noting car numbers and other stuff, and then edit it out for passing on to clients.

You can also get an OTG (on the go cable) and download an Android app to change the settings when your away from the computer. There is another app to let you use it as periscope/web cam and record the footage onto your phone (bit finicky though)

Hi Kitch, I am using a 15000 mAmp Anker portable battery to use as a remote and can get two days constant record out of it with a 128Gb microSD. I am also playing with the settings to see how long it will last using the .5,1 and two second delay still image. So far the 2 sec interval can be used for 2 days and a 64Gb card. it is looking like it consumes about 6000 - 6500 mAmp/day.

£10 cheaper but 13000 mAmp:

Aldi have a number of external power packs, both are £14.99 and you have a choice of either a larger capacity standard battery or a more rugged version.

Hope this helps

Have deployed it in some serious constant rain without the waterproof cover, just a bit of pipe as a shield and had no problems.

Also trying some of the mobile phone 2x and 8x lenses to see if i can get a bit more range out of it!!
