I much prefer the old format of CPW, this is unbelievably complicated, shame, was a regular on here

Ronin SA are excellent. You will get great medical training with them and as you say it will complement your training, good luck.

If you can possibly arrange it go for Ronin SA, you won't be disappointed and its highly respected. (I am bias)

ok, as someone not acquainted with tax rules the important piece for me is when you say, 'Therefore you don't get taxed on that 48p per mile.' All conditions satisfied, would this not be a better way to proceed rather than going through your own employer? cheers (do you know if I am correct in...

Yes, I think you've detailed the only way forward premier. I was hoping that I could do it myself so that I wasn't having to pay an intermediary, which will be someone else getting rich off my back! thanks for response

As a security guard we claim allowances. If we are not based at one site and are on a zero hours contract we can make a claim through the company for mileage & food allowance etc. I have done this with the last three companies I have worked for. But, I have a feeling that the company...

Thank you for your words above. The outcome is that I now have very serious allegations that are on my file. I am yet to see what state my CRB is in if they bother to reply. I have been to interviews for jobs since this episode but have not been offered a job. My attitude to them has...

Just for info: As no further action was taken against me, NFA, I have tried to clear my CRB. I have had to employ a solicitor at a cost of thousands of pounds. I am not sure yet what the net result will be. My new CRB is three pages long and it states that I was arrested, DNA'd, photo...

For anybody that knows anything about weapons it is not good. But the consequences are also interesting. Gone is my clear CRB. Getting a job is difficult. What this person did to me was to use these people as their own personal assassination squad and they nearly got their wish. I have...

'UK POLICE are among the best most well trained officers' oh yeah? A little story, I had the dubious honour of being arrested by a fire-arms unit for reasons I won't go into here, (I did nothing wrong). They came around to my house with the authorisation to kill me. One of them jumped...

Rocketdodger - what an incredible post! You have in a few paragraphs encapsulated the way the system works and how people can find themselves on the wrong side of things and there is some pertinent advice in there for anyone finding themselves on the wrong side. I am going to print off your...

Hello All, the Swindon Advertiser has an article reading that on Remembrance Sunday they are going to try and turn the M25 into a big Poppy. The info is below; Bikers set to run rings of poppies around M25 (From Swindon Advertiser) good luck to all riders,

Big Daddy or Giant Haystacks would have been proud of that!

I would also add, 'You will face extremely challenging situations which may at times end up in violence. This role is one of the difficult in the security sector. However, you will get no sick pay upon injury and your salary is not commensurate with the dangers you will encounter'.

vehicles that come to the attention of the ANPR system can sometimes lead to other offences being 'discovered'. It would be interesting to see other data for other motoring offences to see if there was an overall reduction in vehicle offences etc. as a result of this 'ring' of ANPR.

well done to all who helped.

When you read something like this I wonder how close to disaster we were with the Olympics. The call to drive down wages for security, (and everything else for that matter) is continuous. But I suppose security is risk assessed along with everything and as long as nothing major happens one...

A mate of mine was pursued by the Aussies through America and back to England. Everything was back-dated. They will pursue you till the ends of the earth. The last I heard they wanted US$110,000 ! They are very determined so have a good brief and a good case, good luck!

you can always phone up the Information Commissoner's Office, you may get some helpful info. You can also check, by going onto their web-site, that the CCTV scheme is registered. This information is open to the public.
