You have to be in one of two groups to get on a para course in LAS; either on the square, on the level, taught to be cautious etc or the other group which is err controversial.
The third way is to leave school at 16, go to Uni and do a 2 yr para course then walk onto an ambulance aged 18 a...
Most of the questions posted reflect how little people understand about the process of obtaining HPC registration. This is not a dig at those people, just highlighting the dangers involved.
There are two ways of getting registered:
1) a HPC approved course
2) an international course
The first...
The above is not entirely accurate. AREMT are not affiliating themselves with HPC as they cannot due to being an international provider. What they are doing is setting up AREMTUK and applying for direct approval of the training course rather than graduates having to rely on the international...
What you MUST be aware of bigjl and what everyone else must consider is that the course itself is not enough to meet the HPC standards. As per my post elsewhere, I currently have a package in place for my own graduates that sets out their international application for them.
You must show the...
Interview and assessment depends upon what is in your application. The only thing they have to assess you on is your application, they are not psychic and don't know about anything that you haven't put in there.
I have assisted many people with international reciprocity and they all fall down...
We are already inspected which has been going on for a long time now. The good news is that once inspected by one trust, there is no need to be inspected by other trusts, your details are held on a database as being 'inspected' or 'accredited' is another word some trusts use.
Some trusts will...
Hijack away fella, everything you are saying is true. There was a group of five of us giving him advice along the lines of "two ears one mouth, use in proportion" but we were promptly told that we didn't know what we were talking about (although two of the group were Practitioners, one a HEMS...
The CQC are a joke and admitted in an email to me that they have no idea how to regulate private ambulance services. The irony is that they will only be regulating patient transport and paramedics. They will not regulate the "EMTs" and cowboys, they will only regulate people who are currently...
I have said to Timm (Ronin) that any Ronin graduates who meet our requirements (driving licence, CRB etc) will be guaranteed a position on our ambulances and we will provide further training as required. I have only offered this guarantee to Ronin graduates as theirs is the only course I can...
The current course 'belongs' to the University but at least it is directly HPC accredited. We make little to no money from the course except operating costs which are barely even covered.
I am currently applying for standalone accreditation for the course through the AQA. We have applied to...
No it is not affiliated with AREMT it is accredited by the HPC directly and is run in association with a UK University who we are partnering with to offer the course privately.
SJA in our area do a lot of A&E support work in our area and they don't have IHCD driver training. Our trust accept that you cannot expect a volunteer to undergo a 3 week full time course at considerable expense. It is also worth noting that only two days of the IHCD course actually involves any...
MM, don't know you, never met you and don't know how accurate your anecdote is but I think we should exercise caution before making negative comments about a company that cannot be proven. If we want the trolls and timewasters to leave the forum alone then we must act in a professional capacity...
Your post suggests that you don't know anything about the industry you want to enter. Other than a van and blank walking possession agreements and a consumer credit licence, a bailiff doesn't require any 'gear'. All contracts are held by the big players such as Drakes and you will need to go to...

My money every time would be with Ronin for the IHCD Tech. The course is excellent value for money and the experience gained can't be matched by any of the UK companies.
If it's IHCD Tech you want then SA is the place to go in my opinion.
