Hi fbg, thanks for reply, not sure why your confused?you should know the pecking order of my position ? the young principle had at an early age her own nannies of from within the palace confines, the majority still like children themselves in their knowledge outside the Kingdom,my position at the beginning was to be the nanny of nannies looking after all the nannies and their children on a different level to them ? a person to liaise with the principals about their children and to collectively make sure the nannies and the whipping children were looked after in the world outside the Kingdom, over the years the children become teenagers and don't want to be seen out and about with the nannies, the security are instructed to be kept further back ,not quite out of sight depending where and who they are visiting and it came more on my shoulders to stand alone, please don't lecture me on the whys an wherefores of self defence (NOT FIGHTING)as i know exactly what my duties are ,But there are many places where the security team let alone the male bodyguard are not allowed to go with the female parties and i feel that i should up-skill my own level of self defence.I have never trained to be a nanny or cpo and in my career to date of not been impressed with the many i have worked with, including their own royal guard who i am also in charge of when they are out of their own environment,i am responsible only to my principals. There are many times we have local female security attached to us but its all too over the top especially in the states and parts of europe and the same applies to them, overbearing and i am told to replace them quite frequently.I am asking for a very short sharp few days or weeks training of no bull defence lessons i don't need one or two of the five thousand who stood on the balcony ,just someone who can give me some dirty moves, sorry fbg for my response but you are looking down on me like many new guys on the job do ,until we get on the streets or there is a problem.
I have looked on the web for a trainer near to me (Cheshire)but can find nothing suitable ? i am quite surprised in my search that there where no training companies for Bodyguards in the UK till the late 1980s (about 1988) so i presume you did a military or police course in your day even though it was for only one week. Many thanks for the people who have suggested genuine training to me,not enough posts for PMs yet and any further helpful suggestions will be appreciated! but please nothing condescending,i am not new to this position, thanks.
