The Constant Pursuit of Excellence and pushing the training boundaries have always been at the forefront of all of Excellentia’s training and Operations.
As part of our Close Protection course reconstruction we have added the following module and increased the duration from 16 days to 17 days. (Pushing the GLH to in excess of 230hrs)
• 4hr unarmed Close Protection training seminar with Michael Wright and his team from CPH2H (To add to our existing morning RMP Close Quarter unarmed combat)
• Further evening Close Protection driving and foot exercises in central London. 0800hr starts and 2100hrs are the norm with each evening concluding with a mini exercise in central London.

Michael adds content which is over and above the standard RMP close quarter combat which is already delivered each morning on our course. Unarmed Combat is the last line of defence for any CPO, they need to be trained how to react effectively, but not to over react. This course is specifically designed to offer simple and effective responses for CPOs, taught by a CPO, who understands the legal and reputational constraints of going "hands on".

Our course includes the following additional modules (none of which are required by the SIA)
• One and two car Close Protection driver training
• Unarmed self-defence training inc 4hr seminar
• 2 day surveillance module
• London familiarisation – essential as over 95% of UK CP operations are conducted in London
• Media awareness module
• In-country briefing module
• Realistic 4 day final exercise
• Over 230hrs of Close Protection Guided Learning Hours (The minimum learning hours stipulated by SIA is 144hrs)
• Over 35hrs of Guided Learning Hours - BTEC L2 FPOS-I
