This course was Outstanding, some other providers do this course over 5 days, I?m not sure how or why they drag it out, yet as we learnt on the course it should be done in 30 hours. The guys at Colossal are approachable if you have not done much of this sort of stuff before, that said anyone can attend the course at direct entry, either on the basic or intermediate. We were taken through the normal syllabus then on to the hostile package, this consisted of haemorrhage control in a number of environmental situations with the use of Haemostatic agents and various foreign Combat application Tourniquets which you would use on operations. We were taught how to use the Emergency first dressing which I was surprised how incorrectly I have been taught before, we did not do IV Cannulation or a number of the other advanced skills and I understand why, who gets the time to put in fluids and blow the clot that has just formed on the guy who is bleeding out.The last part of the course was medical planning and we all got free templates and software on a disc to help plan operations to any country in the world. This was by far the best medical course I?ve done to date and the motto Basics done well, highly recommended..

Thank you for posting.
I ll enroll for FPOSI on March so to be honest I was looking for a few opinions about Colossal .
All the best

The course starts on 10 th of March finish on 14th of March. So is 5 days course ! I ll let you know how is after I ll be attended.

I am glad you have enjoyed the course and I wish more people would post positive reviews rather than criticism of TPs but I also wish people wouldn't say "It is the best medical course ever" because you had a 'Hostile package' on a five-day course and used haemostatics and tourniquets...

I'm also glad you didn't do anything invasive but did 'the basics well', such as planning operations in any country in the world.
