Something similar was also posted couple of times here but here is the answer.
First of all MNFI badge doesn't exist any more, there is only USFI badge. You can get a badge only in Iraq afther the screening procedure,it's up to your company which colour will be.

As mentioned above USF-I badge only available in Iraq. You can ask the company who you are going to be employed by to email you the paper work to fill out. As far as I'm aware you can travel in Iraq on LOA & Passport though until your badge is ready. Also for non US CAC Card holders they now also need a USF-I badge I know this as I'm currently a CAC holder and going through the USF-I process.

Hope this helps

Mate, as the other boys have said if you don't have one already then you will not be able to obtain one until you get in country.

Not sure how long its been since you've been there, but all travel into/out of Iraq is via entry/exit visa...ID cards are no good anymore, whether CAC, MNFI or whatever.

MNFI card applications are tied to your contract and it is quite strictly enforced. Your company can arrange your entry visa, then once you're in country they can apply for a twelve month multi entry visa, but again it depends what your contract stipulates (ie if you're DOD, DOS, Brit Embassy, Commercial..etc).

Even if you don't have or cant get LOAs, bear in mind US med assets will never turn you away if it involves life, limb or eyesight. They will always treat you and ensure you are stable. Medevac home (if you're not plugged into the mil system) is your companies responsibility. We have just done all our med recces at US bases in Baghdad and have confirmed this with every med offr we have seen.

Hope this helps.

1/09/10 a new directive came in today, Its an absolute joke, Access to US bases will require USFI badges (All non US will get yellow or below). You wont get higer than a red CAC card if non US as of today either..... Theres rumors abund that non US will recieve no priviledges as well!

Mate, not exactly true, Im on a DOD contract in VBC Baggers. Currently hold a CAC Card, In the process of getting a Brown Iraq Wide USF-I badge. Depends on the contract on what colour you get. Also can renew my CAC Card but it's only use to me is getting into the PX & DFAC can't use it to access any US Bases in Iraq anymore, but is good for outside Iraq.

As for how long it takes, I've been waiting near 3 weeks now been told can take up to 30 days as theres alot of people applying, but after the main surge it should be no longer than a 2 week process (I work for the same coy that do the badging here so more or less from the horses mouth)
