iPhone / Android Apps

I've been looking for medical Apps for the iPhone and Android based smartphones.

Here are 10 which I reckon are worth a look; there is a mixed bag here from the basic "how to put a plaster on" through to ECG and tropical medicine references.

Pre-Hospital Apps for iPhone & Android

In terms of both quantity and quality (certainly at the advanced level resources) the iPhone is head and shoulders Android. Maybe that will change.

Cheers Adam. I'm currently torn. Really want a HTC Desire HD or Z but am disappointed with the lack of gucci apps like you can get for the IPhone. I just can't decide!

Agreed. I just been sent a new Samsung Galaxy S. Lovely big 4" but the iPhone Apps Marketplace is leagues ahead of Android.

That said, Apps only fulfill a limited service. There are also ebooks (on both Android and iPhone); with Kobobooks you can download the Oxford Handbook of Emergency Medicine, for example.

There are over 500 books here if you search Medical and Medicine.

So apps aren't the be-all-and-end-all

got the desire, loads of apps, imagine soon they will overtake apple. 5 stars.
Work with medics and im always googling street drugs on my phone so they can treat.
