(Title should read Al Nursa capture UN soldiers)

My fingers began typing before I engaged the brain :-D

It appears even the UN are not safe from attack from these animals in ISIS, Al Nusra or Al Queda.
47 UN peace keepers have been captured by Islamic militants in the Golan heights. The article below is describing the events today. It's time we in the West began getting it into our heads that this is fast becoming a clash of civilisations, their way of life versus ours and it appears they are intent on all out global conflict in the name of their way of life.

On 30th August

Nightfall in the Golan Heights. The Fijians have surrendered, the Nepalese and Indians have fled. Our troops and a few Irish Rangers are hunkered down at Position 68. Lets hope and pray the night will be kind to these few brave men.

They (Filipino) exfiltrated safely during the night having been rescued by Irish troops acting as the missions quick reaction force. It remains to be seen what will happen the rest of the captured UN troops.

Serious questions need top be asked as to why the Fijians surrendered and why the Indians and Nepalese fled.

because when you just have a blue helmet and a mildly armored car to "interpose yourself between two combatant forces" and have to apply for permission double times in order to be able to fire a smoke grenade to defend your life it is complicated to get the "prime minister master super excellence almost god for you" yo wake up and give you his tubs up.

(just supposing as how the ONU goes lately)

UN = illegal attempt at world government with delusions of grandeur that believes in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, has no actual power and no balls.

SCT,

Santa Clause and the the Easter Bunny, both smooth operators...
1 day in 364 days to plan the next deployment.

The rules of engagement are different for each UN mission. The days of having to ask for permission to fire back are largely gone. When I was in Liberia it was classed as a peace enforcing mission rather than peace keeping. This meant that if we came under effective enemy fire we could return fire and suppress the attack.

The same rules apply in the Golan heights. The Indian General who ordered the Filipino's to surrender should come under some serious scrutiny for that order. The Filipino's refused to follow that order and instead fought through the night until members of the Irish Battalion came to support them and lead them out of the post and back to safety.

As true as that may be it takes nothing away from the troops on the ground who risk their lives for others in conflicts that have nothing to do with them.
