PI qualification - Legal requirement

Does anybody actually have a definitive answer for when the Home Secretary is likely to introduce the law on Professional Investigation licensing ?
I know it has been put back several times from the original start date but presumably they can't keep pushing it back forever.

didn't know such a UK service as that existed, but then we have been away since 1989, and back then I had other interests and concerns...

It's been implemented in ROI, usual cluster f**k of no specified qualification, no audit standard, no joined up thinking and no concept of the reality of the job by the 'Authority'.
Revenue collection by any means, regardless of the outcome or standards!!!!
