SIA ACS Status

A few of us are thinking of setting up a security company and having ACS by the SIA before bidding for contracts. We all hold front line licenses for SG and CCTV.

Is it possible to get ACS status from the SIA before bidding for contracts?
What is involved to get ACS status?

It makes sense to have ACS status to show potential customers that the company is reputable and also because without ACS status will make it harder to obtain contracts of any kind.

Thanks

Routes to Approval

I am looking at going down this route (micro independant) - £400 + £17 per licencable employee,
You also need to factor in the cost of an assessement from one of the ACS assessing bodies.

I am going to start the process over the next few weeks (hopefully) if you need a hand shout!

ACS means nothing, an ACS registered company is not 'EXEMPT' from being 'here today' and 'gone tomorrow'...

Just an observation from 26 years in the SME sector...
