Sia criminal check questions

Hello I am in my last year in the army I signed off last month I have served 5 years in the inf, and hoping to get in the Cp industry. I was court martalied in 2010 for assault and I got 6 weeks in colchester, does this count as a "custodial sentence" in the civvy world? ie by the sia? And I recieved a caution in 2009 for being drunk and disorderly, and I got 6 points in 2012 for driving with no insurance.

Will I get a sia badge or should I just forget it?

You have to send a copy of your military disciplinary record in as part of your application process - so yes it will count as if you were charged for assault it would've been under the relevant civilian law section
 
Yup, afraid so. If you were convicted at a Courts Martial and did time in Colly you will have a CRO (Criminal Records Office) Number and will be on the Police National Computer. Also, though I have no idea about the requirements the three things that will kill any application that requires you to drive are Drink Driving, No Insurance and, believe it or not, using a Mobile Whilst Driving. Save your money mate.
 
Looks like your screwed in the UK, but the good news is with those qualifications you could be a CEO in Germany, now if you could get some kind of tax fraud charge or extortion racket thrown on top of that Germany would even give you a small business grant.

Figure out a way to stay and keep serving you country.
 
I have to agree, there's been some good advice here but lowest common denominator says you're fcukd. Wasn't me arrested you was it?

In all seriousness though give it to 2015 before you apply, I don't condone assault by any means but if your nose is clean for five years you may be okay. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I hope you've wised up because I wouldn't work with anyone who is faster with his fists than his brains, give it another year and apply.

Lesson learned, actions have consequences.

Edit to add motoring offences? I'm not accepting a lift from you ;)
