I just examened for MBO2 Allround security officer in the Netherlands.
It was quite the experience , going to school 2 to 3 days a week for 14 months
.
Training is done by ex marines , basicaly pretty good i think.
So we examed the 5th of august , glad to have another gov. recognized diploma.
It included Emergency Response Officer certificate , First-Aid diploma, ICT certification and a lot more , like English, Dutch ,Math examinations etc. etc. and a ton practical experience.
You'd think i get all those certificates and diploma's the next 2 to 3 weeks .. Ya right !
Today it's the 22 november and guess what... i still haven't received most of it.
Finaly after emailing a lot i got my hands on both my First-Aid and Allround Security Diploma.
All the time i applied for jobs and now i got another going on at ISA Netherlands.
I have met them and had already a personal presentation / talk with them.
Only to find out they won't hire me because i do not have the Emergency Response Officer pas , wich you need to show and carry with you at all times .
Is it just me or is it normal that we gotto wait for like months to get your hands on certificates and Diploma's you worked hard for ??.
I got my exams of both First-Aid and Emergency Response Officer in April , it's freakin november already.
*** note *** both First-Aid and Emergency Response Officer certs are only valid one year , by the time i get it , i gonna need to redo the training
.
I am realy getting annoyed , schools / training centers seem not to care realy around here.
I just had to spill this , having had a training for 8500 euro's , including work and salaries that's around 35.000 euro total..., you'd think they will be helpfull and send your Diploma's asap once examed.
I know it's the last time i do a security course around here and hopefully other training providers are not like that.
They do not realize without the diploma at hand you got nothing.
Even tho it's possible to make a call to confirm qualifications , few if any companies do at all , since it's such a hassle.
Sorry guys , i just had to get it out .. i wonder if there any experiencing the same .
(To get the dutch version of the SIA pas only takes 2 to 4 weeks so that's pretty fast ,the cost are 80 euro's and is paid by the company you gonna work for.
But you get screening by the police in the area you gonna work , therefor people with a history are not likely to get it . )
It realy amazes me how they do it in UK lol
