TACP....there are plenty of older threads on the subject, do some research and then post your reasons for/against and then we can advise you more.

I would ask you to consider the question....where is your work going to come from? and can you afford to be unemployed for 6 months or more?

from the info you have given you have no portection experience, and therefore no contacts so most likley you will try and get back to the put on a PSD contract but these are now much harder to get and the list of those chasing them is growing.

IMHO with the current financial climate stay where you are for a couple more years look at getting across to the RMP if possible and then look at the CP side, you would then have experience and skills sought after in the corperate market.

good luck with your choices and stay safe!

Yes..... stay in if i were you. You have a decent career, guaranteed work, and the state of play on the outside really isn't too great. Lot's of people after jobs and lot's of people out of work.

But best of luck if you make the leap, try the search option for info on courses absolutley loads of threads on the subject that may help

Hi mate, Ive had a lot of friends do the the ronin and had good feed back from it. Dont know much about the other tho.

I also hear that a lot of companies recognise the the cp ronin course which cant be a bad thing.

hope this can be some help.

Stay in. Get a new capbadge if you are tired of what you do currently but you have job security there and potentially, access to one of the best CP courses if you choose to pursue that avenue as mentioned above.

I know that this course is also well recognised by most companies so must have a good rep.

Hope this is helpful. Laters

thanks for the reply, and the info really thankful and will take any info people can give me so thanks. I got two close mates on the curcuit att and have been for a few years now, they have not said we will get you a job or work, but they have said, we can get you the foot in the door... but i will have to get the job........ which i understand as everyone has to go through that but they have said the Ronin course is the way to go.
Im just looking for a steer off people to make it easyer as its a big wide world out there... as you all know but im willing to try but thanks again and take care.

Well if you are hell bent on doing it and you obviously have potential contacts that can help you, i'd only suggest that you take a good look at ALL the options available out there training wise. It is easy to see that Ronin is a popular choice but there are others to look at. If you want to do hostile or not those kinds of things, all need to be taken into consideration. Have a caht with some of the training providers who are amongst us on the site (no i don't get commission but thats not a bad idea actually haha). They will all give you good sound and honest advice with no strings, and i know that if they are not able to offer you what you want they will recommend someone who can.

I am a South African and also present cpo courses but Roninsa offers the best advance cpo currently available i did the course myself and have no regrets
