SCC is the ONLY BTEC Accredited Centre to deliver this market leading course, be careful of other training providers offering you unaccredited qualifications.
Do your research, ask lots of questions.
Every security driver training provider will offer you the RoSPA - BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Advanced Driving, this is for achieving the Bronze, Silver or Gold pass on your advanced defensive driving test. Just to elaborate on that, a 55 year old Grandmother could get that qualification, it is simply the foundations of advanced driving, however not evasive driver training as you have suggested you are looking for.
We at the college have a superb 10 day training course, which we also deliver in 2 x 5 day training packages, and students can pay for each week at each time, reducing the costs and making it more achievable.
Week 2 is the exciting week with visits to Millbrook Proving Ground and being coached by a rally driver to enhance you handling techniques, then we go to a secure airfield and do ramming drills, contact drills, anti-ambush drills, PIT manoeuvre - both delivering and receiving the manoeuvre, fast hands and blackout drills.
The days training culminates in jaws of life training by removing a casualty from a vehicle post RTA/C and cutting the roof off. We teach TCCC principles in mission aim priority encompassed with command, control and security considerations.
Wednesday is 2 car drills ensuring each driver experiences the training under both roles as driving lead and back up, there are distinct differences for both, this always proves to be an enjoyable and interesting day.
I hope this has given you some insight in to the training we provide. If you have any questions, then please don't hesitate to contact me.
Kindest Regards
Jon
