Hi guys, I'm looking at completing my HSE Offshore Medic course after christmas. I have noticed quite a few companies looking for Rig Medics require them to have rig medic experience. What's the best way of gaining rig medic experience if companies are only going to hire people with experience?

Cheers Starlight. I was looking at doing this course but now that you have mentioned the warning, I think I will save my money and get myself back to university as a student paramedic first.

I got taught on the MIBBS a while ago and I personally think they are awesome bits of kit. The temptation to splash out on one of these is very high right now.

If your looking to get some extra paid hands on time, try this company. They use student paramedics as bank staff for summer events. I envy you mate. I tried to go back to university to train to become a paramedic but I was unsuccessful with Greenwich university and St Georges university...
