Lawton i believe you are wrong on that point mate. Things changed some time ago in that Police "must" investigate crime whether a complaint has been made or not. CCTV in this case would probably rule someone in or indeed out.

If the Police know that someone got glassed they have an obligation to investigate whether a complaint has been made or not.

Teflon, my advice. Stay where you are and work towards doing some firearms work. Course yourself up and gather some experience without letting anyone know your thinking of leaving. Who knows when your not filling in crime forms etc you may actually enjoy the job more. M
