Hi,

I'm on the market for a new pair of boots.
Noticed the Lowas everyone else uses don't tend to last too long which is
highly unusual.

Spend about 12 Hours stood up on concrete / steel floor.

Wondering what you guys might be able to suggest.

Thanks

Superfeet insoles might help.
Standing is generally bad for the feet and legs as they are designed to walk not stand. The circulation largely depends on you moving so if you're just stood there it lead to all sorts of long term problems such as varicose veins.
Are you self-employed, because if not your employer should be providing the footwear if its part of uniform.

Steer well clear of any boots produced by Magnum...Utter shite..

In my opinion in the past I have worn Lowas, Meindl, Scarpa, Danner etc.
Great boots for on Ops, however they do come at a price.
If you are on static positions, light secuirty duties then Bates are a good alternative etc.
Also a quality pair of insoles and good quality loop stitch socks are a must as well.

Also good foot admin is essential too.
Just because you have a gucci pair of boots on your pegs, you also need to think about your feet.

I'll second meindl, on my third pair, best boots I've ever had and wear them pretty much every day

I bought a pair or Lowa great boots. Have them 2yrs and they are being sent back for resoling at min. Great boots.
I have now got a pair of Halix Ranger boots. very comfortable and a nice sole so the 18hr days Im doing at the min are passing by with no issues. A good pair of socks, a good insole and if u need orthos. spend the money. It will be worth it in the long run.

Buy cheap buy twice. Footwear in the Security industry is a very important part of the kit. So don't skimp.
