I posted course details in the medic training section. It is FAW, AED, Oxygen, Entonox, Airway management and Trauma management. Was going to be 5 days but we can do it in 4 as the medical gases only takes about 1-2 hours. Course will award five externally accredited certificates including: HSE FAW, AED, Oxygen, Entonox, Healthcare provider BLS

Is the Ashermann chest seal getting replaced with the Bolin Chest Seal? I've not heard anything about that.

Already being done due to the superior stickiness of the Bolin seal. The Ashermann was falling off and not staying in place. It is cheaper but is inferior which is why I won't sell it or use it.

Thei yank medics on the FOB where i am dont use the asherman or the bolin they have a Full seal with needle decompression. I have bolin in my kit.
The US medic seal is made of the same material as the base of the BOLIN with the same adhesive.
First two items are what im talking about.

And you apply the bolin like the ACS but it will work with pneumothorax and haemothorax.

Here is one of the research articles which investigated the differences between the Bolin and Asherman which confirms what I said above. Both prevent the tension pneumothorax but the Bolin has superior stickiness and doesn't fall off. The Army found that in casualties soaked in blood, the Asherman was just falling off.

And yes, they are both used in the same way.

I can echo that ukparamedic. The number of chest seals that kept coming off on us or being backed up by black n Nasty etc just to keep it on whilst we were on Herrick was incredible. The couple of Bolin seals I saw were sticking to be fair.

NeuralNet, the trauma kit (as with any item I sell) will be sent by next day delivery. I am sorting out a new website so that they can be bought properly rather than through a payal link. All profits will benefit a non profit organisation.

This looks like a well-thought-out kit for CP operators, especially with the inclusion of a CAT tourniquet, QuickClot ACS, and the Bolin chest seal now used by the British Army. Having all of that in a compact pouch at a reduced members-only price makes a lot of sense, particularly when it’s paired with proper training on how to use each item under pressure.

What stands out is the option to attend the Remote First Aid course and actually practise trauma management with the same equipment that’s in the kit. That kind of hands-on familiarity can make a real difference in a high-stress incident where seconds matter. Kits are only as effective as the operator’s confidence in deploying them.

For anyone serious about trauma preparedness and ongoing skills development, it’s also worth keeping an eye on specialist medical suppliers such as FlareSyn, which focuses on professional-grade emergency and trauma solutions used by responders and training providers. Resources like that, combined with structured courses, help ensure equipment choices align with current best practice rather than just ticking a compliance box.
