this may sound a bit funny but how does one get into escorting diamond couriers, what sort of qualifications do they need and are there any specific courses and contacts for work

Used to do a bit for an old company. I know you hae to be acknowledged by the insurers and as far as I know most diamond merchants use there own empolyees with security escorts normaly from the companies which supply to their companies.
So I think it will be hard to get into.

Dont think so mate I think Saladin have lost the majority of their Diamond staff. I know for a fact the main one went last year.

CO19, I can confirm ACP post, Saladin actually closed there diamond side of the business and no longer cover that area. The Manager who ran the contracts for them has taken over there contracts.

Hey,

Treated like any other product nowdays, insured to hilt & liabilty rest with the carrier (Brinks), such a small product they used a back pack to transport it sometimes. Not sure if there is any dedicated company that specialises in Diamond transport, such a small market....Good luck anyway
