Direct line to SIA

That's the head office number. There's no point phoning with general enquiries like where you application has got to because they won't be able to tell you, but you can phone it to make complaints.

Yep found that one out, called the London number and they couldn't answer even the basic questions regarding foreign applications (even though it says if you live abroard call us before sending in application) and refered me to the website or call centre!

ALL SIA COMPLAINTS AND QUESTIONS CALL THIS NUMBER.

............020 7025 4144...its a lady called Jane Ratford, heading my formal complaint.....as many people call as possible..leave message after message on her voice mail...although Jane was very helpful I am not entirely sure she has a grasp on the magnitude of the problem with the SIA....this government's security regulator and watchdog!! The most important government body right now.....

The SIA are now based in High Holborn..they share office space with IPCC.
Haha..what a power house of efficiency :)

I'm going to pass this on to a mate who is still waiting for his door supervisor's license. He applied last September and keeps getting the run around. He's supposed to start working with the team I'm in but could lose the position if he isn't licensed soon. I pass on as much info as I can, if he find's anymore out I'll post it on here

R2700m and Sorcerer dam good effort to you both. I have been trying for months to reach the SIA over there Tele Nr , which does not work outside the UK. The two numbers that you both have, were just perfect and I had the answers to my questions answered in no time, Thanks again, another good reason why this forum is great.

He's just done that and is waiting to see what happens next. He rang them and complained and his application jumped a stage on the application checker on their website, so hopefully threatening to sue them will push it along faster

My friend finally got his license on Monday after constantly ringing numbers that were posted on this site. He's aked me to pass on his thanks to everyone, he applied for his license in early September 2007!

I've been facing a huge problem regarding my badge.. this number and email are not valid anymore. Your post is from beginning of March it may be that they just canceled.

I can't even get hold of anyone on the other numbers given in here, this is a total joke, as I've lost a huge contract in South America last week due the fact that the employers in UK said I don't have the SIA badge. It's dragging on since Dec last year!

belfort, if you read the post I made after that one you'd have seen that that is an old and invalid address, read the posts further down and you will find what you seek.

Thanks for that.... but as I said earlier I can't even get hold of anyone on those other numbers in there. I left a clear message - twice - on one of the numbers - it was a voicemail - and no one got back to me. Also, I phone the first number on the thread 020 7025 4144 and they said they can't access my records via that number.

The funny thing is that I am on hold with the SIA phone number 0844 892 1025 as I type in now and have been on hold now for 23ms!!! I just took the shot because I thought it would be off peak.

Ridiculous..!

Belfort, as I said before the only way to speed up your licence application is to threaten to sue them for loss of earnings. I've posted a sample letter somewhere else in this section and the info below should help you find the address. (I can't give you the address because I was given it in confidence, but as someone else already seems to know it I though I would just highligh it:))

Guys, guys... 0207 0254100 this is the High Holborn number, right..? They are useless, they can't do anything or provide help. I am starting to get really annoyed by it... sent 5 emails to different addresses and got no response, and it has going on for 2 weeks now.

The letter that I got from them yesterdays says that my licence is going to be withdrawn if I don't get back to them regarding my certificate number as Edexcel is not reconizing the number that I gave them..?! How come?! I even sent a copy of my certificate with my number on that as a guarantee together with SIA application pack!
