G4S contractor beaten by angry mob in Iraq (VIDEO)

Daz,

Fair one, but you know how it is, you know very well this would never of happened in ganners. And you know the lad who hopped out first is a brown nosing fan boy who often puts himself before the lads.

We are supporting him. We're making it public so things change, so never again is a fellow operator put in a position where his safety is dictated by some radical muslim who's only vetting was "can you speak english".

The system needs to change where you put the brown in the front, on their own, with their music to clear check points and the westerners bring up the rear with the weapons and the clients.

Our collective hope is this highlights the problem with LN's in client vehicles, being armed or being trusted. It just so happens that there's a great example of it on youtube that shows the failure of adhering to the basic principles of vehicle moves and how quickly common sense and civility dissolves over religious beliefs.

Everything else is unrelated and doesn't matter. Wouldn't matter if it was Justin Beiber Fans attacking the wagon because some lad pissed on a photo of JB himself, the principle is the same, get Junstin Beiber Fans the hell out of the company and away from weapons and away from positions of influence.

My best advice to the lad is get out as fast as you can, even drive if you must, only an hour to kuwait, get a lawyer, start a book and never return. But i'm pretty sure G4S will work quickly to burn this lad to save their contract and pin everything on him. So the sooner he get's out then the sooner G4S will have to answer for it rather then him.

Hopefully , he's on the mend..was told today he's still in Iraq at the moment, still can't get over the client breaching the door , and his team mate not trying to help..instead of getting back in the motor to tie his boot laces.

I agree totally , and think that's the best thread on here at present , I'm a newbie to Psd team, and still have a lot to learn pity didn't have some one with your knowledge training us guys.
I was suppose to be out today but been put on standby till next week when I fly back to Basra.. I'm working next to the Baker base where the 2nd incident took place

If you don't no that rule by the time you get out there something has gone wrong, think I answered the question to why they didn't drive off he was a Iraqi driver, also he opened the door as well. What do you do when your cloggs leak water.

Hm hm,some very interesting comments here....but as we all know there allways is some BUT!!And BUT also exist in this case.
First of all this guy realy had nothing to do with it. Today a new video was uploaded, video that was taped by one of the LNs when the flag was token down.He wasn't the guy who took the flag down.Question is why they were after him??

Second - he was sold by one of his Iraqis team members cause Iraqi phoned his mates that Imam Hussein flag was token down from the vehicle. Those LNs were from G4S and GW as could be seen on the videos with some laborers joined.
This isn't the first case when Expats were beated by Iraqis, somehow just took the publicity cause it was taped.
Think is time for full Expats teams again.

Of course there's a deeper problem here as well. That's the one of LN's training other LN's. At least one of the big players does this commercially.

The guys had weapons as they were the guard service and apt LNs that where involved not some angry mob of the street there's lot more about this then lads watching the video on YouTube it's easy to pass judgement on something your not involved in there should be support for the operator who got hurt from fellow professionals!!!!

Nobody gives a toss mate for the bloke, its just a case of watch the video slate G4 and then waffle on about it.
Lots of statements going here above pulling down flags and why were they. A mate of mine was there and there were no flags pulled down ripped down, I know the full story and no it wasn't G4 who actually started it.

There is a lot more to it and Falklan posting an 8 minute video is not the full story at all. And as for G4S Reputation, its a lot better than some in the RM world. RM and G4S UK are 2 separate sides of the business. Unless you have worked for them in Iraq & Afghan then personally you know nothing. Yes I'm sure there are those who say there not good etc, but I am pretty sure that those individuals f****d up an got sacked or were like a lot I saw at G4 pants operators and again were given the boot.Theres a lot worse to work for I can tell you that.

Totally agree with the last statement, ex pats team s all the way, as high lighted, you just can not trust LN's and yes you are correct they were G4S an GW LN's hence why it was easy to get into the vehicle.

I have no clue what any of what you wrote means, Is english your first language? No offence if it isn't but it's very difficult to understand what you have written.

But, again you fail to see the point.

It's G4S' fault for sure, because their crack commando PSD team got removed from their bomb proof vehicles by a mob of retards wielding garden furniture. Lets also remember there was no client in that vehicle, all G4S employees.

It doesn't matter what caused the riot, that doesn't interest in the slightest. Its the simple action in that video that matters.

Are you blind or what??What is your problem??In my post you have a link that shows the flag WAS pulled down from antena so please stop bul******.
As Falklan said - it doesn't matter if flag was or wasn't pulled down, thing is how G4S dealed with it.
When will have that G4S statement translated will post it,working on it.

Statement translated by my terp.Shortly:
We (G4S) feel very sory about that incident and guy who is responsible for that is sent home.We respect deeply Imam Hussein and Shiia religion and customs and was allways working closely with Iraqy people. We are doing our best that things like this wouldn't happend again.
In signature David "somebody",G4S manager.

Why i'm not surprised?

1. Why in the world would you get out of the vehicle in this situation?

2. Where was the rest of his team once he had got out?

Its clear to everyone getting out was a mistake but surely his team should back him up with the exception of putting the principle at risk.

I don't no enough about why they were there so I cant comment on that but it was not an easy watch so its going to be a challenge for the guy to get over that. I wish him all the best.
