Going for world record SIA licence application!

I got mine in 4 days. Seeing as I already have lots of Crbs I should hope so.
A very expensive crb compared to my others it seems.

Reference your application, one thing I would say is if you have lost work through the SIA not sorting things out, you should consider legal action, I know of guys who lost CP tasks through the SIA and took them to court over it.And won. My first Badge took me 9 months to get, then when I went to re-new it they messed me about yet again,so I got my local MP on the case and got it pretty quick, ie within a week.

In my opion the SIA is a joke. but we all know that.

My license was granted today - 11 days after they received the form (6 working days) - so one of the quickest I've heard of! Now to get a job...!

I am very surprised at the quick turn around by the SIA in processing licence applications.Very hard to beleive, when have had my licences done the delay is always waiting for the CRB check of 7-10days,then approximately 7 days for licence decision and receiving licence 5/6 days later.
The fastest I have had a licence done is within 30 working days..
I don`t see how the CRB checks are done in record time unless the SIA have a direct link CRB office.
When the licencing first came out in Scotland my SG licence took 6 weeks,my CCTV licence 5 weeks. On renewal of my SG licence May 2010 it took 4 weeks for a decision to be made.
On the whole I think many on this forum will agree with me that it takes 30 working days now to process a licence at SIA..
9/10 days etc is very, very surprising!

I sent off for mine Nov 20th. SIA Received it 23rd, Got my CRB to my house 27th. Its now Dec 5th Still doing checks arggghhhh
