My 5 cents,
We are trained to keep our weapons ready to use at all times (locked, loaded with DA), even in a low risk environment.
I'think it also depends on the weapon safety on how you wear it, in my old days carrying the browning HP, for transportation purpose we would have the mag up but no rounds chambered, when we'd go to the range we'd ready the weapon there, in hostile environments it was cocked and ready (not to forget put an extra in the mag) in the new days (walther P5 and Glock 17) the less you fcuk around the better, less chances on ND so its alsways locked and loaded..
Btw, nobody will ever get hands on my weapon, at least not as long as i'm living/consious, i've been there and done that to prove it, nobody who'd try ever succeded and i'm quit sure they dont want to try anymore..
It speaks for itself that you need a good decent holster to carry your weapon in and not some cheap piece of horese manure..
