I served my time in the Royal Navy with attachments to 539 Sqn RM and 40 Cdo and at the same stage with another northern force (Northumbria) I was rejected as the stated that:

"may not be able to cope with the demanding work on top of a busy and complex shift pattern"

When sitting in the desert in a hole full of your own sh*t thinking I dont have enough ammo due to government cut back but its ok as the tellitubbies have sent me a shift pattern of attack..........................I think this is demanding and has no pattern and I coped well enough with that.

Getting very bored now.

Just because you've worked in hell on earth does not automatically mean that civvy plod are going to want you. It's always been the same. When I left the mil, I went for housing and was almost laughed at because I was a single bloke in his mid 20s. I slept rough in London for about a month before I ended up sharing a squat with junkies. It was not a good time.

It took me 3 years and 3 applications to get into the Met. When I got knocked back, I just worked on improving my CV by keeping myself as squeeky clean as pos, which included some really shite jobs, and re-applying.

As has been said by others as well as me on this now weary subject:

THE ROLES ARE DIFFERENT - STOP WHINGING, MOVE ON AND RE-APPLY

Starlight Out

For the love of god take this thread and deposit it in the " what a stupid question to ask bin" where it deserves to be ;)

Noooooo, don't do that, I can legitimately give Wingnut, Tommy, Jimmy, Rapier and co grief on this thread without resorting to hijacking tactics!!! :D

I may be proficient in the art of self love, however, when you are married as I am it becomes a vital skill to have!!;)

On the plus side minden I definitely prefer being called a "Self Lover" to the usual "W****r"!!!:D
