In that case as a HPC registered paramedic I would advise that you join the RAF reserve, they have access to all the Army paramedic roles plus those only open to the RAF, namely MERT. As well as those you can apply for special forces support too.

They seem to be everywhere and at least there is a career structure with them.

I believe it all depends on your circumstances. Having worked Afghan, remote site and hospital stuff it's about what works best for you and your family. I get calls from companies and recruitment agencies I've never heard of saying some big company needs a post and I'm suitable. Its $500 per day...
In agreement with te rest of the posts really. I've done both courses and work both hospital and remote site as a nurse.
ATLS allows you to refresh, you go through the same process as thr Doc's but no qualification really, nice bit of paper with ATLS (OBSERVER) on it.
