Ok my personal history joined the RN as a medic in 97 left in 04 worked with the marines for 4.5 of those years left joined the nhs as a paramedic. 05 joined 144 Para as a CMT 1 then transferred to 21 SAS as a CMT 1 left in 08. still in the NHS as an Advanced Paramedic with managerial experience.

I am looking for a new challenge as i am bored with the nhs so want an overseas job need a minimum of £40k to make it worth my while however,
i do not have any oil rig quals, i do not have any CP courses and all ALS, PHTLS etc are part of my main certification like all UK paramedics and not add ons like they are for nurses or us paramedics and i do not have the funds to go and get these add ons which is one of the reasons i want to get overseas work so i can get the cash together.

the main gist is this, are there any jobs i can get without those bolt ons or am i stuck between rock and hard place

thanks in advance

There are numerous companies that want just stand alone qualified paramedics - despite several comments regarding lots of work around at the moment for Paramedics .... there isn't ACTUALLY much work about ..... but internet searches / facebook / remotemedic blogs etc all show up jobs on a regular basis

Good luck

Can you be a bit more specific about what it is you want to do exactly? Remote medics, HECPO/MARSEC medic etc.
Best wishes.

If an employer is potentially going to pay you 120k us per year (g4s), then I might be tempted to suggest you invest around eight hundred pounds to get the necessary qualifications to meet their job spec (ALS, PHTLS). Speculate to accumulate and all that !

PSD medics 99% of the time will need as a minimum SIA, mil experience and med quals, as a paramedic you will be looking at Tier 2/Level 3 (ALS provider) and will likely need ACLS and PHTLS as a minimum on top. As stewmac91 said a small spend for a good wage, Speculate to accumulate. You will also find a lot of the Level 3 and 4 Static medic positions will ask for ACLS and PHTLS depending on the recruiting company. Look at FrontierMedex, Exmed, RMSI to name but a few.

Try national ambulance service Abu Dhabi or qatar Hamad EMS or FMX, international SOS all good companies for your experience or Osm course etc and offshore but you may find offshore not exactly challenging good money but more primary health care Occy health and admin/Heli admin yawn !!! But good money, the choice is yours !!! Oh and defo RMSI
Head office Dubai, if you get something out there let me know right behind you

consider being an EOD medic plenty of work around and can pay well, TDI may be recruiting, but theres lots of companies out there needing staff
