I've seen a few threads and chatted to a fair few people about how they can become CP medics, remote site medics etc etc.
You have a variety of options but you need to decide which is best for you before you spend alot of hard earned money on a course that may not deliver what you want.
The cheapest (but not the quickest) is TA Med Corps as a Combat Medical Technician, they will train you to a very high standard with recognised wualifications. But there is allways the chance of call up as around 70% of the Army Med Corps are TA. www.ta.mod.uk
The IHCD (Institute of Health Care Development) are the traditional awarding body for the "old school" Ambulance qualifications. They are a division of Ed Excel and accredit a number of training bodies to deliver thier courses. The courses are:
Another route is university, check with the Health Professions Council to see which paramedic diploma/degree courses are available.
Finally, if you are looking to work in hostile environments then have a look at Prometheus Medical or ExMed, they both run quality courses, prometheus also deploy medics on CP projects with excellent support packages for the medic.

- First Person on Scene (First responder) covering Basic Life Support, Oxygen therapy and Defib use.
- Ambulance Technician (including your driving)
- Ambulance Paramedic (You will need to complete a hospital secondment) this will entitle you to state registration.
