Hello guys

I gonna buy some things, and i want some advice if is good, i found this things on ebay
for example the 2 AA mini maglite led, and Magnum Panther 8.0 black combat & duty boots, and gloves Kevlar leather slash security, what do you thing??

Thanks

Depends on what you really need for the job you are doing and of course what you're paying. If as the post suggests you are doing DS work I would recommend some slash proof gloves though steer clear from the gucci cool ones you see for around £40. You should be able to get a pair for not much more than £10. The pants again shouldn't be more than about £15 from somewhere like eBay. As for the boots, you can't go far wrong with magnums tho consider Pro-boots. As they're a damn site warmer and more weather proof.

Gotta say no to that

...the magnums part that is :)

Got myself a pair of their enforcers, they havnt been out very long, pick them up for about £100 average. Comfort is 10/10, warm 10/10 composite toe fire proof water proof nail proof during the lovely snow we had recently - i walked on sheet ice with them

I love them..! :D

Anyway

Maglites, always go LED, 2AA is alright for searching bags etc, but if your a night guard - get like a 3D one

Depends what you want - Kevlar has a 5 year shelf life, so for slash proof i would say go for CuttexPro, no shelf life, impenetrable - combat knives dont even get through..!! These can cost a few quid though. Check out Nitton999 on their protective gloves range.
also on the gloves - consider if they have knuckle padding. Theres two types, sand or foamy like stuff. Sand i find bulges a bit too much, not really pleasing to the eyes - which means people stare if you wear them on the tube somewhere...

Surefire torches all the way, why settle for second best.

as to whether they are the 'best' thats a matter of personal opinion ;),

i have a couple of surefires and dont get me wrong they are good, but are way over priced and generate alot of heat for the light they put out,

OP, get yourself a LED lenser, nice and bright, not expensive, and if all else fails you can steal the TV remote batteries to get you by.....

Have to agree with Wingnut and James about Surefire but look at Superfire. They are quite a bit cheaper and use the same bulbs
