Anyone who's applied for this heard anything about deployment yet? I heard they're gonna start deployeing blokes on or around the 11th.

They've offered me a position with them....just awaiting contact from their HR team...have you heard back from them??

last i heard Angela had passed my details to Tom Wilson, that was on 4th Dec. Was it Angela who confirmed the offer with you?

I take it thats why she forwarded my details to Tom Wilson. Anyone got his email so I can get in touch with him (pm it if you'd rather) If not I'll email Angela to see whats happening

This is the reply I just got back from Angela when I asked whats the reason my application was not selected

'That is strange. The only thing I can think of is perhaps you don’t have an active security clearance at this time. That is one of our toughest requirements right now with this short deadline.'

I was under the impression I couldn't apply for clearance myself.

The POC details are at the botoom of the post Guard Supervisor Iraq in Current Vacancies section.

Wullie,

I think I maybe correct in saying that we are talking about the NATO contact with SOC (Securing our country) an Amercan based company.

They do favor Americans as a rule though have employed British and other nation's be in a more minor role.

Take a look at there website and job listings, though as mentioned it is limited the amount Non US citizen that they take, but on occations they do have the odd job for us poor Brit's mate.

http://soc-smg.com/page/home then open the careers page, like most company's take the time to pen your email and read through before sending, and dont just fire off an attachment of your CV mate enquire first and do your homework and reaserch.

I got offer the SOC contract aswell, but knew what would happen because I don't have a NATO clearance. From the looks of it and from what has already been said, you need to be a U.S Passport hold with NATO Clearance. Just guessing but they may fill any empty slots with non US operators. I hope that they prove me wrong and hire brits / aussies.

l just got an email from Shane offering me a position and l told him had no clearance last night so a hope he will still give me the job

I went applying for a position before I learned it was the TWISS II EODT drop-out contract.
Thank God they have this handy " Withdraw " button.
Pressed that one the moment I learned about the salary.:D
