i got mails from Shane and now waiting for papers from HR for deployment. hope this will be finished soon.It isn't a first class salary but it's better to take this than stay home and who knows, maybe something could go better there..good luck guys!!

Hi all, new to this site. I also applied and received a quick response back saying I was sent to HR, awaiting travel arranements and contract. I applied for the Guard(NATO) spot because it mentioned nothing about a clearance, which I don't have. So I must admit, I'm a little apprehensive because I don't know the pay yet. I work for Group 4 on a contract now... Anyone know the pay for this one? Thanks

Take a look at there website and job listings, though as mentioned it is limited the amount Non US citizen that they take, but on occations they do have the odd job for us poor Brit's mate.

I heard about it from a mate of mine tonight, just sent my CV n cover letter off to them, I hope something positive comes back but after reading some of the threads I wont hold my breath!!!

Anyway, good luck to all of us that applied.

Robroy out.

Hopefully by now everyone who was waiting contact from HR has received a link to another online form, still waiting on contract details but keeping fingers crossed.

Good luck

Al

Is the Salary $65K a year as being touted on other forums?

Guys, you need to face a reality check here, if they're asking for NATO clearance and you don't have it, then you're wasting your time.......try elsewhere, they're not likely to change their goalposts at this moment in time, and will have plenty on suitably qualified blokes to fill these slots....

well this is going to be fun they have sent a lot out a wee word of warning to the guys with no military experience this is dangrous its not like stagging on at tescos if its like the last time i was in baggers the camps get mortared most nites and hit by rockets .. and if you think you can bullshit your way threw stuff like weopen handling ...you will be working with guys who are professionals contractors from all parts of the armed service .. this is not a dig at anyone so be safe

wullie out

Most of the slots require NATO Clearence, there will be a small number of openings that dont have a NATO Clearence requirement, the company will know now who will be going where,as soon as they are ready to pull the trigger with the deployement details, ill get back to those i put in the loop and let you know, deployement will be fastball, good luck and stay safe Ram out.

Hi again to all..Just recive mail from Melissa with form for LOA and CAC,filled it and sended back to her.Seems to me deployment will be very soon. And Ram Man i know what are you talking about,it was the same in Kandahar and Helmand Provinces.Good luck to all of you guys and stay safe!See you there!!!

You static guys do understand that you need to buy your own gear?
You also have the option to buy it from SOC for somewhat over priced market value that will be taken from your two first pay checks.

Prepare to pay some 2000$ for your gear to get started.
Hint, don't buy all your shit from SOC, you can get your gear some 40% cheaper from L.A Police gear and they take about a week to deliver to your APO Address.;)

Latest news from Melissa:
They are expecting deployment arround Dec 16th.About the gear answer is that they PROVIDE SOC shirts and 5.11's in country. And as usual if someone wants can buy via online something from BlackHawk or any other company with in Country delivery, the same as for weapons attachment (in Afgh be bought them from Russia online).See you there guys.

I can see a lot of weird chaps landing on haw they think high speed contract... As soon you realise that you will work on same line with ugandans ( that means eating, shitting and living ) you will realise that you doNOT need expensive gear because after first rotation half of you guys will stay at home, its fact. And you just look weird on Diff doors geared with full M4 torch, laser and all unnecessary big bang stuff..

good luck to those that need foot on the door or just need money to pay their bills.

Thank mate but must say this is yours opinion and i respect it. Also must ask you did you maybe try to live with Afghans? In my firm there was only a bunch of expat, all other were Afghans. Can you imagine the feeling when you're surrounded with 350 Afghans who should be working for you (by day and by night they are talebans) and you're in the middle of nowhere? And somebody here sad something about the $2000 gear. WTF will you buy for $2000?A Predator Missile?NV optic 3rd generation from Russia with shipment $150,BlackHawk tactical west with shipment $150.
