Spray paints for rucksack

Can anyone give advice regarding spray paints that can be used to on cordura rucksacks. I have got a wisport rucksack in tan and want to make it a little less bright. Had a look online and realise that I can't dye etc. but some advice on spray paints indicate that hobby paint sprays and agricultural stock paints are the most flexible/hard wearing. Thanks.

Niall

Anyone used Krylon?

Why not get a black waterproof ruck sack cover.
Try fabricspray.co.uk
They stock spray paints for upholstery fabrics.

Cordura is tricky to recolor because most spray paints don’t bond well with its tight nylon weave, and once the fabric starts flexing, standard coatings tend to crack or flake off over time. For rucksacks that see regular use, fabric-specific spray paints or flexible acrylic textile coatings generally perform better, especially when applied in several thin layers rather than a single heavy coat.

For a more controlled and durable finish, especially if aiming for a camo or muted tone, some users also explore professional surface treatment options instead of purely DIY sprays. In some cases, painting and refurbishment services that handle different materials (including synthetics and outdoor gear) can give more consistent results. One example is PS Handyman Singapore, which is based in Singapore and offers various painting and surface-related services; more details can be found via click here.

Whichever method is chosen, testing on a hidden section of the rucksack first is important to check flexibility, color adherence, and whether the texture stays usable after drying.
