Stuart Elliott Super Walt!

Bad that can can do that much and get away with a caution. Its not like he was just using "naval hero" as a chat up line. He deceived people over a long time.

He's apparently made a large donation to a servicemens charity. Still unforgivable, he also duped Simon Weston about the Falklands. Needs a chat if you ask me, not a caution.

I'm with you on this one.....this fella definitely needs to be taken aside for a "chat"

Really makes me laugh...how many more people out there who are 'not what it says on the tin'??? This particular case and similair ones are high end of the deception..but the more I look the more I see of guys who totally fabricate backgrounds and qualifications...but what checks are being carried out to verify these 'Walts'?
With the industry currently swamped and work getting harder to find we should be looking at not only (CRB,SIA) checks but some system of sit down interviews with paperwork checked and discharge books Etc looked at....this should be made into an accreditation or confirmation of background....but as you will all say it will be another excuse for firms making money...but if you clear out all the false and fake merchants you just look at how much work will be freed up....I am very cynical and don't believe half the bullshitters I see in this industry...they do make me laugh and it's a shame that they never got a chance to actually have the career that they now pretend they had....but at the end of the day it's Fraud...And these guys get through because they have a mate who puts them in jobs and once they get started they just wrap everyone up in their bullshit...even to the fact that we believe and even enhance their world just because they are 'nice guys'...this industry will never improve its image until we out these 'walts' and give the genuine guys credibility that stands up to proffesional scrutiny....

Completely agree. Dickheads like this just make it worse.

It baffles me why anyone would turn out to remembrance sunday in uniform if they weren't serving? I wouldn't dream of it!

Sadly mate, you will probably read about various stories come next week dotted all over the country.

Attention seeking misguided and delusional people with nothing going on in there pathetic lives.

With today's technology it baffles me how these people are not outed from the start. As stated above someone recommended them to do this or helped them to get a job. As I have stated before I know a guy who is not ex mil he has a mate who was in NI with the British Army. He told the guy to add on his CV that he was there and he would vouch for him.

The guy came to me with the story and after a long long discussion I believe the guy decided to opt out of the lie. It's a lie that deserves more than a caution. These people are forging CV's and creating lies about their lies. No matter how much money he gave to anyone this guy should be standing in the doc right now on trial on the way to jail.

This is just the tip of the ice berg I'm sure. Just think about Princess Gate and the lies that's come from that. I say no more as I don't want my knuckles cracked for posting bull shit on the forum.

I think this guy needs his something cracking tap, not your knuckles! You are spot on though mate.

JF601,

Thanks mate. This poser needs to be in court of law not just cautioned. People who build careers off of lies need to be prosecuted. There should be a statement that if you use fraud, deception or just flat out lies that can be proven you should be prosecuted for that on top of being FIRED. Just my opinion.

Roger that tap. I was looking at waltermittyhunt.com today and noticed a lad that I served with is on there, thought he was alright, but he appears to be one of the worst! The more nuggets outed the better!

This fella was still at it in February this year, I met him in a boozer in Amsterdam and he gave actually introduced himself as a sub-mariner captain. The stories he was telling were completely believable and I only realised he was a fraud when i did a quick google search.

He'd already been bubbled in the UK and i think arrested, but seemed to want to carry on the facade abroad. He can't have been that sorry or remorseful when he carried on with it even after getting captured and outed.
