Triple canopy

Yeah... speaking from experience about US Companies employing British guys... don't always bet on it being a bed of roses. IF they treat you fairly and treat you like other EXPATS (ie Yanks) then yeah it's good TC in the past has been like this. BUT if they treat you like some other US companies do when you're not American, then it's far from enjoyable... be prepared for your treatment to bounce between TCN and EXPAT. 1 day you'll be fine doing something the next you're a TCN again and its not allowed.

Good luck for all those that do get on the contract, but just be prepared that it may not be all thats promised. Fellow SOC sufferers have I am sure similar experiences- especially the bit where they tore up contracts and offered new T&Cs with worse conditions and an ultimatum- sign or go home!

''This contract supports a construction project in Iraq, where you will work as a Mobile Security Team Member either directly responsible for protecting personnel during convoys to and from construction locations or as a PSD Team Member during convoys of construction materials. The daily rate for this position is $300 which is only paid for days in theater. The rotations are 90 days on and 30 days off for a total of 1 year.''

They will take anyone able to deploy till 10th this month as long as you meet medical clearance, NO interview held, unless once in country...EODT model back in 08. Brits only at the moment...even do that doesn't guaranty quality over quantity ;)

for anyone who just received an email asking you for your foreign international number that is your NI number, i have just called them in states and was told that an NI number is acceptable, if that helps anyone out

hi guys, the FIN is your foreign identification number, if you have been in iraq or another depoyment with a us company youll have one,
if not yes your National insurance number is ok, but until you get your FIN issued via US gov you wont get badged.
On another note has anyone got a firm date to deploy or had sight of a contract???

yes it will be on your previous CAC card.. or if you have a LOA should be on there too.
Although that might have your NI number instead....
Bit of a minefield really, then it depends how they actually badge you when your there, lol

That rumor is NOT correct i have just spoken to the top brass and they have confirmed this is a rumor with absolutley NO grounding at all, anyone awaiting deployment details will be contacted very soon

same as BW guys at some stage, SA guys recently and so many other company's every once and while mate....gossip

RE deployment date would be 10 off november...FIN number is on your LOA, some days they use your NI # some days your passport #....things to worry about is if they will put you in to CVS system !!!!

Regarding CAC and CVS : if you're not in the CVS you wouldn't get CAC - easy as that. Many many companies were playing with it just not to put guys into CVS and that's why most of the guys had only MNFI/USFI badges.

Oh and one more thing : non US citizen in US PSC is TCN,only US citizens are EXPATS!

DEUS VULT!

I'd like to apply for this. I'm currently on a mobile team with SOC and am looking for other options.

Can anyone hook me up with a POC for this?

Thanks Annie

this should be my 5th post, which I believe I accomplished without spamming :)

I hope someone can help me with a POC for this, I would be grateful

once your status goes from being junior member which should be shortly now you have your 5 posts then you can send PM's etc, may take a few hours but shouldn't be long

I worked for Dyn They were good Coy, but Yes the TCN came out alot.
Looking at getting back in again..... So looking around.
Yes your NI is on your CAC. In Afghnaistan they are now doing your CAC yearly. Mine has expired so will be interesting trying to get another job.
When you live at the bottom of the world its very hard.
Be safe over there.
