It's a bit like welcoming a neighbour who's lived next door to you for 6 months, even though you enjoy a chin wag over the fence fairly regularly :D

It's good to have you here UKP, welcome :D.

Starlight Out

Well I only thought it appropriate to introduce myself as I have some fairly controversial opinions.

I have no military experience except a brief period where I was attached to the military as a civilian paramedic and I have no CP experience except when I worked as a DS and was asked to look after some minor celebrity who came to the venue. I have been to and spent a very short period of time working in the middle east but not in a military or CP capacity and I have worked as a paramedic in various other places overseas.

My interests lie in CP but more as a team medic role than a PB or SAP/PSD role. I am also interested in training CP medics in some basic skills beyond first aid. I am an ACLS instructor and am just doing my PEPPs instructor. Am training to be an ADI (driving instructor) because my employer and I have discussed putting me through the IHCD blue light driving tutor course but before I can do this I need to be an ADI (as our training vehicles are under 3.5 tonnes and therefore fall within the remit of the DSA!)

I have no interest in firearms and have used them in the past but have no desire to use one ever again. My talents lie in driving and medicine and if I can use those in a CP career then that's what I would like to do.

I am not looking for a career in CP for a good few years yet. I have only been a paramedic for just under 2 years and was an ambulance technician for 2 years before that so I want to expand my knowledge, experience and maturity before I start a career in CP.
