If an individual wanted to go ahead and take the prerequisite classes here in the US. Which companies would be benificial? I spoke with one and viewed the content of the class, and it seems great. The techniques displayed are awsome. Especialy after getting to walk right into some of the more advanced classes with my military background.
Second question..Would it really make a diference to a potential employer. I mean, gosh! If I up the money that should be serious enough to break out and get a job.

I've never attended one of their courses but I have heard good things about Grey Group Training in North Carolina. I used to go into their tactical shop and they were a great group of guys, all former operators.

Try CTU in North Carolina or grand ISS in Florida both very good companies with good operators doing the training

Not sure exactly what you are looking for, but their are numerous great training facilities in the States, Crucible Kelly Mccan, ICE Rob Pincus, and many more, and obviously especially for Carbine stuff it will be hard to beat the Magpul team, sorry these are all firearm training, so hope I am not giving you the wrong info!

TigerSwan; Greygroup; Larry Vickers; Trident Concepts; Trojan Securities; EAG are all good training providers. Look at there schedules to find out what fits your bill best.

Swamp,

Without a doubt you should look into Trojan Securities International based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ex British Mil running a fantastic training program. If you have any questions about the training send me a pm or an email.

In terms of will it make a difference to a potential employer. Maybe or maybe not. But good training is beneficial to you as a team member and in the end benefit the company.

Regards

Tapmaster

I've attended the Torjan and CASS courses. The Trojan is A great HE course, but I feel you need to be ex mil/police to get the most from it. The CASS course is a great all rounder for all experience levels, and is very intensive.

Mate you make the 28 days CP course ?
Is very , very good .

I second what Tapmaster said, I did the Trojan course, only thing bad about it was the weather. Froze one day, sunburned the next. Course was run well, good instructors, good training ground.

Hi,

I am looking at a tactical firearm course- long enough- to be good value for moeny and fly-out to the states. Pistol+ Carbine+ Shotgun with plenty of ammo to use.
Cheers

I have been looking at CASS web page. Can anyone make comments on the content of their 28 days course?
What is positive about it and so on.
Cheers
A

It's interesting to me to see the variety of different pespectives on CASS on this forum. - No hijacking here... ;)

They're actually my first choice if I can manage to get the $ together within the next few months. The other two facilities I'm investigating are Icon and Sexton. It really does depend on what you're looking for . Icon trains almost exclusively towards celebrity and VIP. Sexton focuses on the corporate environment.

I would say CASS is where you are going to get most of your moneys worth! What was your MOS in the military? CASS teaches you more then just shooting, they go over counter/protective surveillance, writting different reports and opords! It is a great assest that alot of psd tm's dont utilize. Well if you are looking for just a shooting course there are a bunch around.....but with your prior military background you should be able to land a contract if that is what your looking for and then they will send you off to WPPS school. Cass teaches you that shooting is only 5%of the job if you have to pull your weapon and shoot then you have already failed at your job......I hope I was of some help for you if you have anymore questions lemme know thx
kilokey

oh by the way guardaespaldas I know they are booked into next year so if your looking at attending then you should hurry up and contact the school hoping that they push someone back or they are unable to attend so you can get the date you want. Another think when checking out the school be sure to check the prices with the other schools, ask them if you will be firing live ammunition, if you are going to train on a variety of pistols or are you limited to a few? another thing ask how many rounds you will be pushing down range to!
