Do Females get a rough ride

Nobody likes my tea I have 10 bags in a pot! you see i like it strongish,
anyway i donated my portable Kettle to the lads on the FCO at Lash. It broke my heart my bleddy kettle!!!!! sooo gutted id rather brush my piles out with a wire brush that get rid of my kettle.

Brumm
anyway if yer up the mids pop in i have a Tea URN now ha ha ha ha whooo hooooo 5 litres of action packed fun

Now I keep thinking of Morcombe and Wise, "fancy a tea Ern?" :D

Thats what i mean, not one of those wave a tea bag at a cup of hot milk but a proper stand your spoon up in it builders tea which is as red as roofing tiles and has more tanin than your grandmothers tea pot!

A proper cup of tea indeed! :D

Tea should be strong Brummie, it should be so strong you can stand a spoon up in it, with just a dash of milk....... Can't be dealing with all these hot milk and water and show it a t-bag for a second brigade:D Drink some propper tea you big jessies!

However, nice to see the equality in the office at Regal:)

Hi,

I've read the above & previous pages & i DO not know...why, either women or men HAVE to prove themselves at all, whether at home or in the workplace?

If your a female working with men, its because u can do the job asked & IF not sure, then AINT that what your team members are there for....2 ASK for help if your stuck or needing advice as it would be a guy working with GUYS?

End of day...it HELPS all within the team...whether male/female to work together and get help when needed & NOT to be put down or critisied, whether ure male/fem.

All guys AND woman that want to do this job, im sure, can have a laugh/banter etc OUTSIDE working hours. I just dont see in this day and age why men & women cant work together without the dreaded sex thing coming into it, cos lets face it guys...it dont bother me, but i think men STILL think that if theres woman working with them then there dreadful tosterone will get in the way?

Sorry but as a female, with a husband doing the same job, i think the JOB & SAFETY comes first and NOT men thinking with there y'know wots as it seems its all that it comes down to im afraid.

good call elsiejay. surely its remembering why you are there, being a team player, working hard and having a gsoh and that counts, female or male. i've never pretended to be girly girly, flashed my eyelashes to 'get' an advantage, i'm more interested in being part of the team and letting no-one down.

Hmmm Poochie! "Team player" which team would that be? NG NS or NN? or WB as it is now? I dont recall any Poochie mama making my tea. :p Been thinking  between NS and NW there is a EB ignoring the E would you have anything to do with B? If so regards to PC&SB

i think that the issue with women in CP is that there are far too few of them and out of the ones that are out there there are fewer still that are very good.

I have worked with a few girls that are well worth employing:

(names removed)

threse three ladies are at the top of there game.

It is interesting to see the names that you put forward as well worth employing,
One of them is past it, one is full of her own importance and the other one i don't know.
But I can say that there are girls on the circuit that will knock spots off them.

I am a female CPO with military background and a lot of males i have worked with have been stonger than me in certain ways, where i have been in others, we used one anothers strengths to help each other out. I dont agree that women try and get away with more than men as i have been in physical training with men that have cried and dropped out as it was too much for them. I have also helped men i have worked with through some tough and emotional times. So dont judge from past bad experiences as its a stereotypical view of females.

You must have been awfully lucky and worked with some excellent women :) This is a very old thread now and to be fair there are a lot more females now than there was back then in 2008 which is a very good thing, as i think a lot of the stereotypes from 3 years ago are slowly disapearing
