It is with great sadness I report the sad news that Craig returned home to Newcastle on wednesday and for whatever personal reasons, took his own life late thursday eve/early fri morn.

Those who knew him from his RM Cmdo days will know he leaves behind Tania and his two young daughters.

Those who met him since in his CP role may have heard of his recent marriage to a new wife Claire.

The whole circle of friends and family are reeling from the loss of such a vibrant young man.

Anyone who wishes to be put in touch with the Williams family in Wales should PM me with their details and any brief message and I will pass them over and leave it to the family to be in touch.

Hi,

Never met Craig, but it does not make any difference, it is sad to hear what happened.

My toughts go to Claire (his new wife), Tania, His two daughters and Craigs family.

May Craig rest in peace.

Never good to hear of a fellow bootneck dying... however it happened.

As all you bootnecks know...

"marines don't die, they just go to hell to re-org"

Rest in peace royal

No one ever knows what goes on in an individuals mind that drives them to take their own life it is so sad, and unbelieveably painful for the remaining family, I will say a prayer for him and his family.

A very sad end to someone's life. My heartfelt sympathies to all his family and those who knew him, I hope he finds the peace now that he was looking for

With respect i think possibly it may be better that anyone wishing to have the details of Craig's funeral PM Blondie07 and get them that way.

I joined up with Craig and became good friends with him and Tania for years. I went outside and lost touch. Recently, I found myself back in touch with Craig and it was solely because of him that I did the CP course with CRG and ended up at the point I am now.

I was supposed to meet him in November, to go yomping, as I also learnt that he only lived down the road from me now. I was even in touch with him and heard from him the day before we lost him, to thank him for talking me into doing the course.

Gutted doesn't even come close to it.

I just wanted to say thanks to him. He hadn't changed at all over the years. He was a top bloke and he is missed!

May Craig rest in peace.
Times are difficult, personnal issues, work or should I say no work, hard keeping a family in our line of work, these are all reasons why through this forum and personnal contacts we always have to be there to support our brothers in arms.
Stay safe and healthy
