its nice to see all the new CPOs that have had their photos with THE STARS while working

i was told when i 1st started that this was a big no no if your caught on camera next to THE STAR then you cant help that but to stand next to them with your arm around THE STAR while you mate takes a pic this is laughable really shows how good you are at your job

dnot get me wrong i have shite loads of photos of me in teams on most all the jobs i have worked on some times i piss people off asking if its ok to have some lol

but even thought i have worked around many stars on many different jobs i have not got one photo of any of them

looking around at different sites and links it does make me laugh

FFS wake up lads cheers lol ha ha ed

Well with what passes for celebrity these days, maybe the celebs want their photos taken with the CP - "Look aren't I famous, I've even got a bodygaurd" :)

Some food for thought from someone who's been caught in the background off the shoulder of a celeb or two (me, in case you had not worked it out) is that when facing a wall of paps the only place you are not going to be in the photo is a few meters to the left or right of said celeb and even that is just throwing a consideration up. Generally, and especially in that circumstance - not an option.

The ones that make a point of being in the background can be written of as divs, but the flip side of that coin is when you get some client and indeed sometimes the celeb themselves saying they want you at arms reach whenever on foot.

Aside that, yes, "remain anonymous" certainly does seem so be a lacking feature of much training. And come glory hungry CP training company directors.

Ps. And let me assure you, I HATE cameras pointing at me.

Linkedin is the best for those kind of photos, even better when you Facebook there name out of pure interest and you see the same "professional cpo" lad, naked, collapsed in a pile of there own piss with a beer bottle up there bum.

First thing I look for is the Airborne tat on his arm or maroon lid........

How did a thread of a serious topic get into the realms of Paras vs Marines?

Most of the empty suit CP idiots are actually civilians with no mil experience.

I am laughing but it is a serious point, I have to brief my teams on NO PHOTOGRAPHS, NO AUTOGRAPHS, NO FACE BOOK, NO LINKED IN and NO TWITTER etc etc

I still get people putting up photos, making comments etc - If I have warned then they are taken off the job and don't get paid, its happened twice so far.

Just to make a comment oh what Littlewoman said "Well with what passes for celebrity these days, maybe the celebs want their photos taken with the CP - "Look aren't I famous, I've even got a bodygaurd""

Thats all very well but why ask your client for a copy of their photo of you and why put it up anywhere? - Not an excuse.

Unacceptable

Before anyone comments, Yes I have been caught in a photo by paps but I have NEVER asked a client for one

You don't pay them for work they've done if the post pics etc?

I think one of the best courses of action to take is the crate forfeit.

If your phot is taken then you have to buy the team a crate.

Simples :)

Rich, that was my bad.

I have zero military experience but brother was a para before moving on to something else so having witnessed there antics on numerous occasions, I dangerously generalised.

Your last comment sounded like you can't be a CPO without military experience?

Of course you can ENJ1986 but the length of time 'served' on the ground and the exposure to operations in terms of type/ level and experience has to be much increased to replace the vacuum of any mil exp.

I too generalised and to be honest, there is nothing wrong with this as long as it is made by way of own experience of such. As an ex-Para myself I know only too well that the 'brain washing' and the lads sense of humour cannot be taken on to serious commercial CP ops.

Everyone has to realise that CP is a serious business. It's not a game as some TP's believe and is not a 'life support system' as some of those operating seem to think.

not yet rich i cant seem to buy one hint hint

cheers ed

No one can - sore subject. The foreign printers are having management issues which has resulted in a knock on effect of a backlog which I am currently fighting through.

Cheers
