Im not sure if its just paper hype, trying to make security staff seem bad so people fear them, but is it just me - there has been a fair amount of high profile tabloid stories around 'bouncers' killing people.

I can see why some 'bouncers' do it. They witness violence and a like and not want to take counciling because it will make them seem weak. Police and Army quite often have compulsory counciling. Some people can't handle it and let it get to them.

this scroat was a double glazing salesman/ worker by last reports.
He had been a doorman at one point, but whilst he was on his killing spree he was working for a double glazing firm.
So the papers description is akin to calling the prime minister a student who runs the country.
Cameron was a student once, but now he's an MP.
But bouncer sounds more villianous than double glazing salesman.
He was a druggy, and scum.
**** all to do with what he might have witnessed as a DS.
Don't make excuses for turds like him, no matter what his profession, he's a good case to bring back hanging.
If we had a referendum. I think it would be back tomorrow.
But they dare not.
 
sorry but i have to agree with OJ here, you can't use the excuse that he saw violence and that excuses his behaviour! Sadly you have to look at the person as an individual not at what they do for a living. There are thousands and thousands of Ds who are good law abiding citizens out there who hold down normal lives with jobs and families, who would never even dream of commiting an offence such as rape let alone murdering someone. Of course the media looks to villify those who are Ds etc, and to be fair lately there have been a number of people who have committed very bad offences who had at some point in time worked on doors. Many people are lorry drivers we don't say they have a right to murder women just because several of the worst serial killers in recent years have once worked as a lorry driver and maybe they had a bit of road rage and that justified it. You can NEVER justify rape and murder ever

Once someone starts taking certain types of drugs there is no need to try and understand anything else other than the fact that the drugs stop them behaving like a normal human being. Many drugs affect people so that they do what they want without any regard for the effect it has on others. People will know that the drugs have this effect on them yet continue to take them because they want to put their own pleasure before the welfare of others.
Unfortunately there will those who wnat to do doorwork because they get off on the control they have over others, so we are likely to attract a certain type of bad character. But hopefully we will be able to weed these people outearly on.

As soon as the word gets out who he is.. he won"t be enjoying the time of his life in the jail..

not having a stab P but we have all seen certain types on the door, who work it for a good time in both repects doing the job and getting the fluff

i have also seen good lads being held on rape charges for no reason

certain doorman in different areas have seen alot of different things it may grab us at the time but really it does not turn us into a serial killer

as LW states some of us like the power and thats ok

some then get turned on by the power and thats not very good

and if he was any good at the doorwork he would still be doing it not selling windows

all different things effort different people in different ways but some always know the line between right and wrong no matter how much your eyes burn from mace lol

Either they didn't read their own headlines or they are stupid. So everyone who is an ex door supervisor addicted to coke and kills someone will be always labelled a door supervisor? This is insane. The man was clearly out of control and killed someone. It's clear the guy had some serious problems. The guy was not in the industry according to the news paper article.

If in fact he had been a door supervisor there are a lot of test that could have been done i.e. graphology, polygraph, psychological examinations etc. Even then there is no 100% guarantee that you would weed out these types.

There is no excuse for this! The man is a killer and will serve a long time (if he is lucky to live that long) in prison.
